I have a thing for taking characters and shoving them into the past. This is super self-indulgent so I apologize in advance.  

Basically, Charlastor happens a few years after canon, getting married a decade in, and we start out about 70-100 years in the future. At this point things are going really well (shockingly). 

The hotel isn’t exactly booming for redemption but it, at the very least, is considered a sanctuary for sinners who don’t want to live their existence at the bidding of others or in the general vicinity of hell and want a vaguely “normal life” (without having to worry about turf wars and being shaken down by the local pimp or big boss). Every once in a while, there’ll be someone to ascend but it’s maybe at the rate of 10 sinners a year, if even that? The hotel or concept was never practical for mass production, tbh. 

And at this point, Charlie would actually have matured quite a bit and have created a sort of routine. I’d imagine that she would actually get the equivalent of a therapist’s education and work to help sinner’s through their issues and help them live their best lives. 

(She learns to accept that her pushing for redemption was more of a personal problem than she had initially believed) 

She would be seriously respected by Hell’s lower ranks, but openly mocked by those in power (though grudgingly respected because she did what everyone thought was impossible). They’re not stupid enough to interfere because, by this point, they know not to mess with Charlie. 

I’d imagine her reputation would be similar to her fathers in that case. Not really respected, but seriously feared. Anyone who crosses those under her protection are liable to be set on fire and/or transported into the Bad Lands (wherever that may be; the edges of Hell or the place the worst of people end up). 

So, at this point, she thinks that she’s in a good financial, social, and mental place to have kids though Alastor is hesitant about it (not sure if he would make a good father). Despite this, he goes along with it if it will make Charlie happy. 

Their eldest is... well, they take after their father a lot lets just say that. Their name is Lillian (though sometimes its Louis), but the safest name is generally Lil unless they say otherwise. They have dark red hair (looks almost black) with a lighter red under layer. Their hair goes bright in full demon form (scarlet/pinkish, respectively). Their eyes are a pale blue normally, but are like her fathers in full demon form (yes i’m implying that Alastor had blue eyes as a human). (Edit: I changed it. Lil’s eyes are the same as their mothers. Ada, the youngest child, gets the honor of having her father’s eyes xD)

Personality wise, they are more drawn to violence than say Charlie was at their age and is struggling to figure out when to not pick a fight. However, they are insanely protective of their family and Alastor is very very proud.

The first five or so years go great (with some hiccups, as all first time parents are prone to have) and they decide to have a second child (to Lil’s dismay). That’s when the problems start.

The extermination the previous year had been suspiciously light and Charlie had the fleeting thought that it meant things were getting better. Turns out, no, the following year the extermination was the worst in Hell’s history, wiping out 3/4ths of Hell’s population.

As if it couldn’t get any worse, Heaven comes down with an ultimatum or, well, command really.

All born demons were to be collected and removed from Hell or everyone would suffer the consequences.  

No one knew where they would be taken, but they weren’t stupid enough to think that it was anything good. At first, the angels tried to make it look like they would be taken in for a chance at a better life they should’ve been given in the first place but, again, no one was that stupid. Eventually (somehow) it comes out that they were killing the demon borns and no one was exempt.

Not even the royal family.

Needless to say, war was declared because Lucifer still loved his daughter and his grandchildren and no one was stupid enough to disobey the fallen angel himself.

Now, Alastor is quite literally the most powerful reality bender in Hell’s existence and while Charlie could rival and surpass him in other ways, this was something Alastor excelled at and Charlie simply didn’t have the power to do.

Charlie would have stayed and fought as well except for the tiny problem that she was 5 months pregnant at the time. So it was decided that Alastor would use his abilities to send his wife, his 5-year-old, and their unborn child far far away where the angels couldn’t reach them.

And so starts the adventures of Charlie (also known as Lottie or Harlie) in another world that is over a century in the past.

I haven’t really been doing anything for Charlastor/Hazbin Hotel fandom in a while (or any fandom really) so here’s more for my darlings Lil and Adelaide. 

I said this in the beginning. They are both super self indulgent characters. Aka, I have created about 1000 different AUs including both of them. 

1. They are actually raised in their own Hell with their Mom and Pops. Alastor is wonderfully cruel but loving in his own way, somehow. Charlie isn’t the perfect Mom and is distant or overly smothering. 

2. They’re actually alone in canon!Hell which mean Lil becomes protector AND caregiver to Adelaide, forcing Lil to grow up even faster than they already have. 

3. I’ve had some AUs where Charlie is straight up cruel because of her pursuit of purity/redemption. She overreaches onto her own children and seriously hurts them without meaning to in her desire to “help” them. 

Holiness tends to burn demons, regardless of heritage. 

(I may actually talk more about scenarios in which Charlie is not the cinnamon roll she is in canon)

Dimension Hop 2/? 

Gonna have to clarify some background context that is a little bit canon and mostly stretched to fit this narrative: 

Canon: there are other demons that have been born in Hell, not only Charlie (though I don’t know the circumstances)

(this is where I start expanding) 

Full fledged Demons can only be “technically” born to fallen angels, or half of the pair has to be a fallen angel themselves. 

It’s difficult to have children, especially in a half mortal/half (fallen) angel pairing. One of the reasons why Lucifer and Lilith have only one surviving child. 

Charlie had not expected to have a second child (much less her first) due to this very reason and was fully prepared for things to go very wrong (which they did, but not in that sense) 

On an unrelated note, some demons physical features can and do change depending on their mindset. I headcanon that Charlie takes on the form she does mostly in canon because she hasn’t fully “matured” mentally despite her many years. 

Don’t tell me she doesn’t look like someone in their very early 20s or late teens. don’T TELL ME. 

Here she is visibly older and actually quite a bit taller. She isn’t prone to making herself look smaller like she did when she was younger. 

She drops into our hell about ten years prior to the pilot. 

In the beginning... 

Charlie arriving in the other Hell (canon) is marked by a massive power spike and an earthquake that effectively decimated multiple of the more unstable buildings. 

She slips by unnoticed due to the chaos but takes some precautions: she originally glamours herself to hide the bump and her more identifying features. 

Lil is, again, 5 at this point and children are rare and coveted in hell. Most demons haven’t seen a child since arriving and Charlie just barely keeps her (goes by “her” at this point) hidden in those first crucial chaotic days. 

Charlie is kind of terrified of using her abilities, especially so late into her pregnancy, but ends up having to use them to take over a small building complex over a shady area in the east of pentagram city. 

She immediately holes up herself and Lil and starts making preparations because her first labor was not pretty (as in brought down half a city not pretty). 

She literally created a room full of power suppressing sigils and tried to figure out if there was anyone she was able to trust enough to be there during her labor and counteract the combination of her husband’s and her powers going absolutely crazy. Previously, Alastor had taken that role.  

(I really love Rosie as a character and her character design even though we don’t know much about her, buT I’M STILL GOING TO USE HER)

Charlie isn’t quite in Rosie’s territory, but adjacent to it, so naturally she goes to see who evicted the bastard who lived in the complex across the street (figuratively speaking). 

She sees right through the glamour (its a bad day and Charlie’s nerves are frayed between her decreasing mobility and her other kid that wants out). And Rosie’s moral compass is very similar to Alastor’s. She is very disappointed at the state of the building and very inclined to help. 

On a side note: Charlie craves meat. At all times. It happened in her first pregnancy too and she blames it on Alastor. You bet that Rosie sneaks her some of the good bits.  

(I’d be lying if I said that Rosie didn’t have an ulterior motives and that Charlie wasn’t mildly suspicious)

Rosie adores Lil (Lillian) to bits and encourages her destructive tendencies (officially “Aunty”). 

Things kind of go along smoothly after that with days alternating between redecorating/renovating the building and shenanigans that leave Charlie exhausted. 

She’s on bed rest during her last month

The birth 

is 

HELL 

Rosie is powerful and influential in her own right and does call in some favors on her side to strengthen the sigils, but they only do so much. 

This time she doesn’t decimate half a city, but her powers do cause ripples of periodic earth quakes and power spikes 

Enter Ada or Adelaide, the little girl with mostly gray-scale features.

I just realized in your Dimension hop au that Alastor could be related to God in a In Law sorta of way if Lucifer truly was a fallen angel and that makes me giggle a little bit. And what does Heaven REALLY want with Charlie's kids? Either they truly want them dead because they fear their blood lineage and potential powers or it's a hidden motive and they want them alive.

Ok i’m crying xD. Alastor is Lucifer’s son-in-law and God’s grand son-in-law. I pity them all. 

I think that Satan and Lucifer are supposed to be different entities in Hazbin but I’m not sure about the specifics so I’m just assuming that Lucifer is the fallen angel of scripture and Charlie’s father. 

Heaven wanted all helbornes (minus imps and other creatures that were created by higher level demons). They fear them and the event leading up to Charlie fleeing was that she was pregnant with a second child. Up until recently, a first child was practically unheard of so a second was more than concerning. 

They wouldn’t kill Lil and Ada, not immediately, but at the same time they don’t care much about them being the children of the heinous Radio Demon and taking after him more so than their mother’s angelic half (so they THINK).

Charlie, on the other hand, they care about. They seriously regret not taking her in when she was a child (her parents hid her away every time an exterminator angel came to Hell so she was heard about but not known if that makes sense) and had she not had her children, well…

They would have taken her, burned out the demon in her, and taught her to be one of them (they still might).

So heaven ( in the dimension hop au ) is perfectly willing to kill her children on top of basically brainwashing Charlie to becoming one of them? Ow. And if Lil and Ada DO have an angel form or inherited something similar, what will Heaven do? They might kill them regardless, or force them to shed their demonic side by any means to completely destroy Alastor's legacy. Speaking of him, what was his thought process from being away from his pregnant wife and daughter up until his death?

Yes. Heaven is more than willing to kill anyone that doesn’t fit the mold or “teach” them until they get back in line. Heaven is very big on forgiveness, of course, but there’s always a major price to pay before you earn it. 

Charlie, regardless of what stage of life she may have been should they have taken her, would have been punished in order to earn “forgiveness” and join their ranks. It would have been traumatizing but, due to the surroundings, there would have been a constant underlying message (sometimes outright) that this was alright, that this was expected, and that once it was all over she’d be so happy. 

Heaven is messed up in this world. Especially if we look at the executioner angels. They creep me out :/ 

If heaven found out that they had even an inch of heaven in them, well, they wouldn’t try to convert them like what they’d do to Charlie. They’d be very very mad. Because how dare a child of someone as horrible as the Radio Demon have even a bit of heaven in their veins. They’d do their best to extract (or cut off/out) any bits of holiness in them before killing them, with extreme prejudice. 

They wouldn’t have been a priority before, but now? It’s personal.  

Alastor never really intended to be a father, never thought he had it in him to love to begin with (and some days he still wonders if what he felt was love). When he sends away, arguably, the only people in the universe that he had left to care about he's absolutely devastated. He never realized just how much of his life revolved around him until they were gone. 

He’s crueler than he has been in decades, since his arrival in hell. He crushes every angel he comes across with manic glee, imagining that each death was one step closer to seeing Charlie and their children. 

(It doesn’t hurt to stop and torture a few angels to hear them scream for mercy, mercy they wouldn’t have given his family)

Some days he has to stop himself from bringing them back or following them into the world he had sent them to. And it is hard to talk himself out of it. 

In the scenario in which he dies, he fully knows that he’s a goner. He’s used the last of his powers to send off his cane to one of his children and what’s left of him fades from existence before the angels could enter the barricade in Lucifer’s castle. 

His mind is in disarray and the last thing he thinks of is how wonderful it would have been if they could all have danced together... one last time.
