does it ever truly hit you how in love clerval and victor are. like it is so pure, so genuine. you see throughout the book that clerval would do anything for him, all victor had to do was say the word. and victor loved him for it, he loved him for so many reasons and it is so clear how deep that love runs. he is the only joy left in victors life.
