Hey folks. So as you might imagine I was getting burnt out from listening to a new album everyday. However today we will be listening to an album out of a special request.

This album comes from a newer artist @marissalubejofficial. I actually got to speak with Marissa, we had a meaningful conversation over the importance of exposing ourselves to new art and how beneficial it can be to upstarting artist to have their art viewed. I really recommend that you go and stream Marissa's album and if Marissa doesn't quite have your vibe, to go out and find another small artist to support. Art is in need of an audience now more than ever.

Rainy Days by Marissa

Dimmed - Gives me The Frey Vibes. Early 2000's emotional teen energy.

Giving In - This makes me feel like I am in church again as a kid, where I want to explore more than I want to sit still and learn

Forever - Haunting, like watching a light bulb flicker at the end of a hallway.

Summer Fling - Something about this is giving me Lorde, Lana Del Ray, I'm a teen and I'm gonna wear fishnets and yell at my mom or something

Something Real - They are in so much pain.

Hard - Something about this feels like a lizzie mcguire song, which doesn't make sense but it also does.

New Year's Eve - I am not going to lie, every time I tried to listen to this song my brain would get distracted and I can not quite tell you how I feel about this songs, but maybe if I am distracted so is the subject of the song?

Running Away - Sounds like it would play over the Twilight Credits. Actually I feel that way about most of these songs. Specifically I would like this to play after Edward comes back after leaving Bella in a depression.

Trenutki - So this song is not in English. So I can not quite tell you what the song is telling me but it feels like an early morning, like when the birds are waking up but the world hasn't quite caught up.

Del Minljivosti - Again, not in English so we will get a vibe check. Fleeting. But also peace. Not here for a long time but you're gonna be happy about it

The Lake

There was a lake that lay in the distant White and Silver Plain. Its surface was like a perfect mirror, untarnished or dimmed, undisturbed by bird or stone. We watched as the warrior removed his garb and slipped into the water. We watched as he dove beneath the surface. We saw the water go unnaturally still once more. He never came up for air. We know that somewhere, in the distant Plain of White and Silver there is a tiny lake that has no bottom, and that all who enter it have never left. This was that lake.
