“Dinks Song” or “Fare Thee Well” I think this used to be somewhat of a “standard” during the 60s folk boom. I know it from Dave Van Ronk, who is one of my favorite folk-blues artists from that generation/era. A couple years ago a great version of this tune was featured in the Cohen Bros movie “Inside Llewyn Davis”, which was loosely based on Van Ronk, or so I’ve read. Many moons ago, prior to or current “folk boom” I saw Van Ronk at a super small club in Sperryville Va. -there wasn’t a ton of people there. I worked up the nerve to talk to him outside while he smoked unfiltered cigarettes. He was nice to me. He was an incredible performer- and ornery as hell.
