Stranger Things teasing the love triangle?

I know these are supposed to be the actors because they're breaking the fourth wall, BUT:

They're in their character outfits (wasn't necessary)

Mike says he can't stay for the marathon because he has "dinner plans"

Dustin asks "With who?" and there is a PREGNANT PAUSE

Mike says with his mom (yeah right!) and joins in

Will wasn't in the room! Even though he's part of the CORE FOUR. (They even photoshopped Will into the thumbnail with them, but he's not here.)

It's not like they can't fit 4 on that couch:

Will and El each have their own separate couch.

There was no reason for the "With who?" line BUT to show a love triangle. Without it, the joke about them ignoring his dinner plans would've still landed, and he'd still skip it to rewatch ST because the show is so awesome lol

As @b0wlcutb0y points out, behind Mike's HEAD is the letter "W," which stands for Will (with a blue Christmas light no less). As if that's where his mind is at! =D

EDIT: Forgot to say maybe the most important thing. If you view Mike the character, he probably wouldn't be so secretive about a dinner with El. His friends were in-canon openly told when he'd spend time with El in s3. So what's hinted is that it's with Will and he's too shy to say. (In this non-canon made-up scenario for a promo video lol)

But looks like they're OFFICIALLY teasing the love triangle, folks! AND they'd have plausible deniability because they can say it was some silly promo with the actors.

This is huge; once people start yapping about the possibility, CAN THEY REALLY PUT THE CAT BACK IN THE BAG?

If this is all queerbait then this is just diabolical!

Dustin, tell us why you’re asking Mike who he has dinner plans with instead of assuming he has dinner with his girlfriend El? Maybe it’s because El isn’t his girlfriend anymore — so who could Mike possibly have a date with?
