The Lau is a plesiosaur-like creature found living in Lake No in Sudan. The Lau is described as a yellowish plesiosaur-like creature with tentacle-like appendages on its face helping them capture prey. The Lau has been seen quite a lot yet it remains elusive. It has been said that in the 1800′s some natives used the bones of the Lau to make protective amulets however those items have been lost and not recovered. Skeptics believe that the Lau could in fact be a large catfish due to them both having whisker-like growths on their faces.
