needless to say the OST activated my neurons
I LOVED the game Dinostorm as a teen, but stopped playing bc they updated the map to having everything in a straight line, instead of spread out. I could no longer yeet my weak ass into stronger areas to be immediately killed by the fauna if I wanted to explore (also even if I was strong enough for those areas, it then took forEVER to get there, unless you spent irl money to buy transporter things).
Looked it up yesterday bc I was curious if it was still around (it's been over 10 years at this point). And I'm still in the village, so idk if the map has been changed back at all, but apparently they have finally added a few new areas, AND different types of looks for your dino! Namely, dragon scales and FEATHERS.
And it's a lot easier to win/buy the transporter things In Game instead of shelling out my own money.
ever since i played dino storm at the ripe old age of 6-8, ive been in love with the idea of dinosaur cowboys. does anyone have any other media like that, or am i gonna have to write this myself?

and yeah, no forth stage sadly. I never got to finish leveling him up in Dinostorm. If I ever got back to this and draw the 4th stage, I would go back and shade them all.

Want to play a free online game with Dinosaurs, Cowboys and futuristic weaponry?
Play DinoStorm! It’s a free to play game where you are a cowboy / cowgirl riding dinosaurs going around the many locations in-game and helping NPCs. If that doesn’t suit you, they have PVP areas where you can fight other players (though most of these areas are dominated by long time players who have powerful dinos that could kill you in one shot.)
Pros: Dinosaurs, guns, cowboys, during escort / bandit killing / item gathering quests people help out, most quests are net quests meaning that when one person starts it if anyone else joins it will count as a team effort and everyone gets equal XP and equal cash
Cons: there can be a bit of a grind when you need to upgrade your dino/gun, there are many people looking to steal your stuff if you are in PVP, when you die you drop items and cash that lay on the ground for you to hope to retrieve if no one has stolen it yet.
The cons are heavy but it’s a really fun game if you aren’t in PVP mode. Although, the game is not available for Mac computers unless you run the game with Wine or another windows emulation software.
