"Well then, I think the answer is that a circle has no beginning." Belated birthday to one of my favorite characters. . . . #lunalovegood #havesomepudding #dirigibleplums #harrypotter

Hi! Could you recommend a good October read? Usually, I read a female led gothic novel—“We Have Always Lived at the Castle” last year and “Jane Eyre” the year before. I’m open to trying something different! Thank you 😊
Ooh, excellent! My recommendation for a female-led Gothic novel would be Elizabeth Kostova’s The Historian, if you haven’t already read it. If you have, I’d recommend Sylvia Townsend Warner’s Lolly Willowes. Another relevant title from my own to-read list is Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s Mexican Gothic.
To start my new blog experience, I thought I’d go back to the beginning. My first real fan art that I decided to make prints of and attempt to “do this art thing” with, was from my very favorite fandom: Harry Potter. This painting was actually a request/suggestion from my sister. Being a huge fan of botanical scientific illustrations, I was heavily influenced by vintage botany books. In the end I sort of got a Winnie the Pooh / Vintage Botany / Harry Potter mashup. I think Luna Lovegood would approve!
Prints of “Keep Off the Dirigible Plums” and other geeky botany are available on my Etsy page: printsandprovisions.etsy.com
KELSEY: Is this your left hand or your right foot?
MOMMY: No, that's my ear.
