CUSTOM CALF STRAP TUTORIAL

Okay dudes, so a calf strap is that little piece of material that sits behind the main supports of your wheelchair and keeps your feet on the footplate. They're an incredibly comfortable and nice thing to have, HOWEVER they only come in black and my original one cost roughly $40. This one is rainbow, softer, and costs less than $10. All you need is:

1 yard of two inch webbing. The color is your choice, I picked rainbow from webbing plus!

One package of industrial strength Velcro strips

A lighter

Scissors

Directions:

Cut one yard length strip of 2 inch webbing material

Use a lighter to gently melt the cut end of the webbing to keep it from fraying

Peel the back off the fuzzy side of the Velcro and stick one pad to each end of the strip of webbing, on the same side of the strip.

Stick the rough side of the Velcro so that the end is 12 inches (30cm) from the end of the strip on both ends.

You now have a custom calf strap!

You can sew the Velcro on if you want it to stay better, but as long you aren't sticking and unsticking it a bunch it seems to hold pretty well.

An air bladder system & or hydraulic fluid bladder system to cup over oil filters to use an air or similar impact or wrench to just zip them off would be so much nicer than the oil wrench I have

OH RIGHT!!! Don't do this cinder block technique it is extremely dangerous!

But I has worked so far for me & I have no idea what I'm doing & I'm not a professional so it will likely, eventually, have a problem especially if I f it up

Also time to change the transmission fluid, it is equivalent Valvoline cvt transmission fluid as stated on the back of the jug

Interval between 30k to 60k as per usual 30k desired but it is what it is

I have completed everythin & ran it to redline & no leaks!

The Valvoline cvt trans fluid feels smoother

Thats all I got

Granted the guy I bought it from just said it was serviced regularly probably did, but still

After 3 oil changes I changed the trans fluid

Old fluid had a more aggressive bite is the difference

Got up to about 60 & had no issues with it at all

Waiting for the paper towel test to be completed to see if anything drips down but nothing is dripping at all so far

Little tighter would be all it takes, no smells & no foam so far 5.8 quarts drain & fill

Sea foam in the tank, high mileage, one bottle then the remainder after a 1/2 us cup & 3 us teaspoons were out in before the #mobileone high mileage 0w-20 oil was used

No new drips, or oil spots! F yeah!

The oil filter is mobile one filter too!

been chipping away at getting my commonplace book into a useable (and acceptably cute) condition

it's an A5, 6 ring binder with a clear cover, so i made cover pages. like a while back. idr when. those are stickers on black paper because i had an overabundance of stickers i loved & didn't use yet. and also black paper.

also have other colors of paper so i made some divider pages, too. i reinforced those more by cutting down a single sheet of colored paper for each sheet used as a divider. so basically, the cover sheets only have one side covered, the dividers have two covered.

i also used the scraps from cutting each sheet down to make some little find-the-divider tabs. their shape (an X with the junction at the edge of the page) makes it easy for me to grab them. hands don't love working.

i feel a lot better after doing this. i sat down to do some 'how to live' section work, but this needed to happen apparently. dividers! yay!
