OOH YES, okay so! I saw this post floating around and being like “Okay that is BEAUTIFUL. It would be perfect for Twijack from MLP.”

I saved the image, tried to draw from it and realised… I wanted to make it into a fully fledged painting? Partially because I also thought of Midzel being a good potential pairing for a redraw too 🤣 so now this is the current stage of development for it, which is still very early days:

Once I’m caught up on wips, I would be happy to continue with this one again. It’s definitely a piece I am excited to finish.

okay we're in ask mode this morning... what's it like when Amelia finally gets to Briarwood and sees all the supernatural for herself? Assuming timelines line up and this is ~15 years after the end of Mystic Force, and the integration of magical + mundane societies has worked out fairly well

Dis, I think you will really, really enjoy this thread from 2021... (One of the mooties deactivated, but oh well~ my blog preserves things for all of eternity.)

I think Amelia would lose her shit. Quite literally. And she probably drags Ollie with her to see the dragons and the mystical creatures to go “HAHA I TOLD YOU THEY WERE REAL”

But also. Ollie is very smart. He probably just smirks and deadpans, “Amelia, I said ghosts aren’t real. That’s a troll. That’s a goblin, that’s a dragon. You’re an alien. I never said “fantastical” creatures weren’t real— as rangers, we have plenty of proof for that. Don’t put words in my mouth, I’m still not proven wrong.”

And cue Amelia jones meltdown. She’s rolling around on the floor and banging it with her fists while Javi gently tries to touch her like he’s a rat trying to calm down a feral cat.

Also I think the mystic rangers are really chill with all of this. They’re kinda having fun watching all this drama happen. Maybe Nick comes in and tells Amelia in hushed whispers that there’s way too many things in these woods— she shouldn’t count her options out just yet.

(Does vida probably punch Ollie? Yes. She realises it’s very fun to bully him, despite both chip and Maddie telling her she should let him go. (IMAGINE SHE SUSPENDS HIM IN MIDAIR WITH HER WIND POWERS)

Also, emboldened by Nick’s pep talk, Amelia 99% sneaks out to go ghost hunting at night and Javi finds her missing and chases after her and they definitely do not have a paranormal experience in the supposed haunted briarwood woods~

(BONUS IF JAVI IS PETRIFIED OUT OF HIS SKIN AND AMELIA HAS TO DRAG HIM BACK LOLOLOLL)

10. What work was the quickest to write?

the onlyfans au. i wrote it over 3 days and it's 10k. that's an insane amount to write in that timespan for me! i still don't know what happened. i was in the zone! it was really nice :')

28. Favorite work you wrote this year?

aforementioned onlyfans au. i love it so much. i'm still living in that 'verse (in my head). will definitely write another fic or two i think. at some point maybe next year.

but also the 8x06 fix it which i wrote over 2 days after the episode aired. just poured all of my feelings into it. given the garbage that episode gave us... i think i did okay!

13 how much planning do you do before writing?

usually not a lot! most of my plotting happens as i write. I need to have a fleshed-out beginning and end, but what happens in the middle is up to the powers that be! :D

23 how do you know where to end a chapter?

i'm gonna give the most boring cop-out answer of all time and say "when it feels right". aka end on a comedic note when the chapter is comedic, end on a dramatic sentence if that's where the chapter was headed. essentially: I make sure the ending of "chapter 5" is overall "chapter 5 flavored" and then I stop. I use cliffhangers if it feels right, but no more than three-ish per work. i feel like if i do more, it dilutes their overall effect.

Usually I’m in a hardshine space and listening to my hardshine playlist. But other than that I will sometimes listen to Kingshammer on loop and just vibe while writing.

not that i know of! if i do, i don't notice it lmfao

17. do ideas come to you in pieces or full?

in pieces! and they constantly evolve in the time between the original idea and the finished product, which is why i don't do outlines. they'd be pointless, since i change my mind so often
