In light of the recent, absolute BOMBARDMENT of reform/tory ads and propaganda I'm being provided by every social media site but Tumblr, I think I need to make it clear on who I will be voting for next election season

Putting my bit in on the whole "Cows Use Tools!" thing rn.

Whilst I think it's wonderful that people are realising that livestock are intelligent, it's really opened my eyes on how people that don't live in rural areas view the world. I've lived in the British countryside and had horses, sheep and cattle my entire life. Anyone who has and actually cares for their livestock will tell you that they are wonderful creatures that serve us well and are far more intelligent than people give them credit for.

I've seen my cows use logs to get to grass slightly higher than they can reach, watched my sheep jump into the boot of my car so they can use my tack hooks as a back scratcher. My horses are... Animals of flimsy at times but I promise you, given the chance, they will take their rugs off just to lie on them like blankets if they don't want to lie in the mud.

Animals are intelligent enough to use their surroundings and the items within them to their advantage, and the fact that some people didn't realise that before is a baffling concept to me. I'm not throwing shade on anyone that only realised it recently, but still
