I'm not being petty here when I say that Jack Smith needs to be disbarred. To start.

This man was the name & face of a scheme to derail democracy. He sought to deny the American people their right to vote for the candidate of their choice. And, in so doing he has damaged America for all time to come! There are Republican lawyers, Republican prosecutors and judges, and Jack Smith HAS SHOWED THEM that it's okay to maliciously persecute anyone you disagree with politically. His crime can not be exaggerated!

If we judge a crime by the number of victims, Jack Smith is one of the worst living criminals in America right now. Unless....

Unless we make the consequences of his acts so terrible that all the lawyers, all the prosecutors, all the judges conclude that Lawfare is career suicide.

With disbarment decision, John Eastman's downfall continues

California bar proceedings deliver another blow to election denialism

Friday, June 13, was a truly unlucky day for John Eastman, a key architect of President Trump’s plot to disrupt the results of the 2020 presidential election. A California appellate court, charged with reviewing recommendations to discipline lawyers in that state, affirmed the findings of a trial judge and recommended that Eastman “be disbarred from the practice of law in California and that Eastman’s name be stricken from the roll of attorneys.”

The judges found that his work on the 2020 election case was shoddy and deceptive. “Disbarment,” they said, “is necessary to protect the public, the courts, and the legal profession.”  

For any lawyer, this is a professional death sentence. But the court’s decision is not only a devastating blow to Eastman but also to the Trumpist myth that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.

The filing zeroes in on Bondi’s disastrous handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, accusing her of bungling the releases so badly that victims’ names, birth dates, and even nude photos were exposed.

Lawyers for the survivors called one dump “the single most egregious violation of victim privacy in one day in United States history.”

The complaint also charges that Bondi pressured DOJ lawyers to compromise their ethics or risk losing their jobs, and greenlit politically motivated prosecutions against Trump’s enemies.

“No one lawyer is above the law,” said Chief Justice Quince.

Trump’s Disbarred Lawyers Have a Plan for After His 2024 Victory

It centers on installing loyal Trump lawyers from 2020 in key positions of government power.

The 2020 election pitted the president’s private counsel—Giuliani, Eastman, and allied Lawyers for Trump, who bought cases challenging the election—against his public ones—including the second attorney general, William Barr, who refused to endorse Trump’s election-fraud lies and resigned. In the end, it was government lawyers who thwarted efforts by Trump’s private counsel to overturn the election.

The lawyers on the losing side vowed to make sure this would not happen again.

To do so, they have built their own pipeline of lawyers willing to go “all in” for Trump. Project 2025 is their road map for how to give government legal offices a MAGA makeover.
