1. Who is your favourite historical person?

Huh. If I tell you, you might think I’m a sadistic bastard, but anyway it’s Prince Vlad III of Wallachia (a.k.a Vlad the Impaler or  the real life Dracula), he’s listed as one of the most evil men in history but I say ‘look up Ivan the Terrible or Caligula they’re far worse than Vlad’. His life is … interesting to say the least (imo but I won’t write it all down holy shit! It’s gonna be long).He can be looked at both ways, either a hero or a tyrant ; most would favour the latter because of his inhumane cruelty. The Germans painted him a monster while the Russians took him as a just but cruel prince, In Romania he’s remembered as a national hero who resisted the Turks from conquering his homeland but sadly he was defeated in battle in December of 1476.

24. Who do you consider to be one of the most underrated historical figures? (uuh can I have two answers?)

Mary Seacole, only a handful of people know who she is as Florence Nightingale overshadowed her in the medical field. Mary Seacole was a nurse during the Crimean war and used her own resources to treat the soldiers (despite the poor conditions). The thing why she’s forgotten? she was black. sad truth. (also Nightingale didn’t seem to like her so there’s that)

Also there’s Leif Erikson, the viking who was the man who actually discovered America before Columbus even did.

It’s safe to say she’s freaking out, ever so slightly. The city is - it’s huge and she doesn’t know how she got here. She’s never been in a city before. She was never allowed. But still, she was a bit more concerned as to where she was and how she got here.

Ok, breathe Marian. Just breathe. You can work this out. Father always says you’re clever.

So she just walked the street, until she felt a prickling on the back of her neck and glanced back and saw someone walking behind her a distance. Everything seemed normal about the person, though the red cross on their sleeve was a bit odd. Honestly, Marian couldn’t say for certain what made her feel strange about it, but she just had a feeling.

She walked over to a woman who was standing at the edge of the pathway and gently tugged her sleeve. “I’m sorry to interrupt, Serah,” she started, remembering her mothers lessons in manners. “I think - I think I’m being followed?” The way she said it, was she herself was not entirely sure if that was true.

FLOWER CROWN | ACCEPTING

Little Jacob sat on the ground, frustrated as he glared at the scrape on his knee. He attempted to scale a building, a practice of sorts hoping to outrun his sister in the next session of training but instead lost his footing and fell, injuring himself in the process. The boy didn’t  flinch nor did he cry, he just sat in silence refusing to push himself up. Little Evie had seen him try and fail, it was petty but admirable, coming from her brother who refused to listen to their father & wanted nothing but a good fist fight.

His efforts rewarded with a lovely woven crown of flowers of various colours & petals, there was no meaning behind each as they were picked at random ; it was simply a gift to lighten the boy’s mood. Jacob only raised his head to see his sister place it on his unkempt hair, the sour expression in his features didn’t fade yet he appreciated the gesture, he was stubborn enough to hide it. A ‘thank you’ was mumbled as he went back to stare at his wound hoping she won’t hear. Ah! but she did & had the sweetest of smiles while bringing her little brother back on his feet.

Truth be told, she should have been paying more attention. Probably should have kept a tighter hand on her purse. Of course this all occurred to her in hindsight as she watched helplessly while the man ran before her, through the crowds before them and ultimately vanished from her sight. Slowly, it settled in,  seeing that no one else even looked as if they cared, that she may have to accept this loss.

🌹: When would they tell a lie?

To protect herself and others, to get into places she’s not allowed, to divert attention. Basically, whenever it’s needed. She doesn’t like lying to her friends, but will if it’s needed; aka, lying to aveline about breaking into some werehouse, but it’d be a halfhearted lie that both of them knew what the truth would be and aveline wouldn’t get into trouble for knowing some of hawkes less... legal activities, or lying to someone to keep them safe (”no i’m not going to rush head off into some dangerous battle with an immortal magister darkspawn!” *rushes head off into some dangerous battle with an immortal magister darkspawn*)

❤:Are they emotional/sensitive? Do they show it?

Charlotte is emotional and she can be sensitive. She’s been raised to keep a stiff upper lip as best she can, but alone she can let the world seem to fall in on her sometimes. If need be, however, she can and will act overly emotional as a mean to an end to get what she wants.
