LITERALLY! I kept waiting to see the "obvious buddie" and "gay-coded eddie" but nothing jumped out at me. To me it's very much a formulaic two guys in proximity so fans want them to make them kiss kind of ship, I don't see anything that actually suggests romance between them on screen.

Yeah, not to yuck anyone’s yum cause I’m a full believer in shipping what you want, but there was just nothing there for me personally. Even the friendship feels one sided to me sometimes, which I hate to say because I know some people will think I’m crazy but… it’s a very Christopher-heavy friendship imo 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love what we see of them on screen, and I understand that canonically they are very close friends, I simply don’t see the appeal in anything more for them.

c!ranboo / ghostboo rant bc i can’t hold it in anymore

okay first i just wanna say the critical things to get it out of the way. i’m so disappointed and dissatisfied with the direction of c!ranboo right now. ik it may change but i can’t say that i didn’t see this coming.

i’ve felt like cc!ranboo hasn’t known what to do with his character since before he left for the uk. i noticed that his lore streams died down IMMENSELY, when for awhile he was one of the heavy hitters on the smp when it came to solo lore. i partially think that happened due to the overplanning he did with his character. (y’all remember when he said he had a word doc that was over 10k words? yeah)

i think he got overwhelmed with all the plots he had going on, and that fact that the main flaw of his character was that c!ranboo was contradictory. it would be hard for anyone to keep up with that. now with that being said, i at least think there should have been some kind of resolution to his character rather than him just dying. because when you think about c!ranboo as a collective it just doesn’t make much sense for him. not to mention him being a hostage for c!sam ??? (like why did Sam think c!dream would give a fuck ????? idk but that’s a whole different conversation)

does anyone remember that one big lore stream ranboo did titled “lessons” ? i’ve always wondered where the hell that was going. and the enderman counsel ? you know there’s just so much unanswered, almost too much which is another reason why i think this ghost thing just isn’t sitting right with many people.

now on the flip side- i do see what cc!ranboo is trying to go for with the ghost counterpart. c!ranboo we know as an overthinker, right? someone who gets caught up in their own emotions so much to where it pains them. c!ranboo was extremely empathetic. so naturally ghostboo is apathetic. he feels free now, doesn’t understand how people could live with him while he was alive because he was drowning in not only his emotions, but his friends’ as well. so i get that part but the thing that threw me (and i’m sure others) is how sudden it was. and now it’s left us wondering how these other plot points are going to go.

(also can i just say how painful it was to hear ghostboo go on about how great it was to be dead, like you don’t miss your friend ? husband ? child ?)

the biggest point, is wilbur’s burger van plot. i already didn’t know where that was headed but now that c!ranboo is seemingly permadead what is c!wilbur going to do? also where the hell does that plot fit in timeline wise after the las nevadas season finale ????? my mind is everywhere ???

but solely on the topic of c!ranboo, i’m left with two big questions. 1. how many canon lives does c!ranboo have? and 2. just why?

Okay I’m not gonna write an essay about tone indicators but i will say that “tone indicators are not a well-executed concept” and “tone indicators can help a lot of people” are statements that can and should coexist.

I mean. I understand that for people unfamiliar with the abbreviations could get very confused or even end up with a completely different message (a common misreading is /pos being read as “piece of shit” when in this context it means “positive”). There are so many symbols. It’s so over complicated in a way it shouldn’t be.

But I also know that a lot of people, myself included, genuinely need people to say when they’re joking or being sarcastic or that they aren’t angry about something. My friends picked up the idea of tone indicators pretty much entirely for me and it’s made such a difference in how I interact with the group. It means a lot to me.

So like, even if you don’t understand tone indicators, heck even if you hate tone indicators, know that… some people need them. And if someone doesn’t understand your indicators and gets confused and/or upset, just explain it. Because most people won’t remember what the indicators mean, and expecting them to is just fricken rude.

Yesterday was #bivisibilityday. Bi visibility day is a day about recognizing and uplifting biromantics and bisexuals, and also about uplifting all people with m-spec attraction.

Bi means “two or more gender attraction” or can mean “all genders”, depending on whose using it- I’ve seen bi people tell me they aren’t attracted to all genders, others tell me it’s all and they like the word bi best for them.

▫️

Pan means all genders or regardless of gender. This means it has overlap with bi, but also that the two are not quite the same.

▫️

Polysexual means attraction to many genders, and omni means many or all as well.

▫️

All of these words have overlap, but not everyone uses them interchangeably. Not everyone likes “bi+” for this reason. Some feel it includes them. Some don’t feel like it really does.

Some bi people also use the word pan and some pan people also use the word bi, but this isn’t true of every bi or pan person.

In my own case, I am panromantic, but I don’t connect personally very much with bi. I won’t necessarily correct you if you call me bi, but that’s really because more often than not I’m afraid someone will tell me “oh you’re just bi”, which has happened. I’m not bi. I’m pan. I don’t use these terms interchangeably because that’s not right for me personally.

That said, please respect bi people, m-specs who feel that bi+ includes them, and also respect people who don’t use both terms or who don’t use them interchangeably, because not all of us do.

These are similar and overlapping communities. And that’s a good thing! But respect where people tell you they lie across these terms, and don’t forget poly & omni. The debate is mostly between pan and bi, but don’t forget that they are also with us in this m-spec community, and that they may or may not use these terms interchangeably, too.

Am I the only Avatar fan not really interested in the live action remake? It's just taking the show and removing one of the best parts of it. Just on the principle of no longer being animated its automatically less stunning, and fluid and it can't be as expressive as an animated show can. And like, who is gonna watch the remake when the superior one is also on Netflix. It just sounds so boring to me, couldn't they have done literally anything else in the show's universe for a revival?
