I can't even begin to explain how disconnected the Until Dawn movie is. Like... THAT'S NOT UNTIL DAWN IN ANY ASPECT?? They didn't even bother to name the characters after the game's characters. There is nothing NOTHING about this movie that's connected to the game it's supposedly based off of. The only thing is that the characters have to "survive until dawn" but that's it

...so it's going to be another shitty video game movie then. Where the writers have no idea about the source material. And then join the list of flops which are then held up to show why there should not be video game movies.

Meet Me Halfway

@vorchagirl also asked me about this so tagging her as well!

Meet Me Halfway is my long-fic for Vega/Ryder where they meet post-Mass Effect 3 and see if they can have a relationship after all the stuff that they've been through. Also it's about Ryder finally growing the fuck up and letting go of the BS that she let run her life for so long. There's also a sub-plot about Diana Allers trying to figure out who James is dating since that would be amazing ratings for her news show.

Here's a snippet:

Diana Allers needed another big news story.

Since the war had ended, and her access to the Normandy and its crew, BattleSpace ratings had steadily declined and she needed something else to bring people back. “That and no one really wants to hear about rebuilding efforts again. Everyone wants to move on.” she thought while idly going over the footage from the medal ceremony. “But I should get a decent bump with Vega making N7. Him and Alenko always drew numbers, which is why I featured them so much.”

Bored, but wanting to finish scrubbing through the footage, she fast forwarded to when she was talking to Vega, Allers stopped at the part where she was asking about his personal life.

“Since you’ve been back on Earth, is there anyone special in your life?”

Allers made a face at her fake tone, she hadn’t even wanted to ask the question but her producers made her- saying that speculation on his personal life always tracked well. There had been rumors on the Normandy during the war that he’d been involved with someone, but she could never get anything solid to ask Vega about. She was about to fast forward again when she paused, looking at how uneasy Vega looked. 

“-haven’t had much time for personal relationships while focusing on N-school.” James vaguely answered, shifting slightly as he continued, “But there are a few people outside of the Normandy crew that I’ve kept in touch with and hopefully, I’ll be able to see them more now that I’ve graduated.”

clintasha + things you said when you thought i was asleep

Clint glanced over at Natasha, wondering if she was finally asleep. It had been another hell mission but they’d managed to get out of it relatively unscathed.

“Relative being we only required stitches.” he thought while staring at her, watching for any of the tells that told him Nat was still awake. But the slow even breaths and lack of rustling said that she’d finally given into the painkillers and was out.

“Don’t scare me like that again.” he muttered more to himself than her. “I love you too much for you to keep pulling shit like that.”

Natasha opened her eyes at the words, hoping that Clint hadn’t noticed that she was actually awake. She knew that Clint loved her, but thought that it had been nothing more than a passing infatuation.

Love is for children. Nat had told Clint once, when they were undercover at a couple’s retreat- pretending to be a husband and wife looking to rekindle their relationship. She’d had that illusion broken early in the Red Room; love was nothing but a weapon to be manipulated and used.

But then Clint had come into her life and made her realize that love could mean whatever the hell they wanted it to.

Mind spinning as Clint turned off the light, Natasha stayed awake for awhile, trying to figure out her own feelings. Eventually her eyes drifted shut and her last thought before sinking into sleep was that it didn’t matter. Love was Love.
