Various Date Everything Sketches/Scraps

Notes under the cut

1-2) "Object Head Dishy". Just a "what if" Dishy was an object head like Sinclaire or Doug. I'm not loving the outfit, so I might try some other variations of it.

3-4) "Femme Dishy x Sinclaire Comic". Something I sketched a while ago but never finished. I dunno why I did it in the irasutoya style, but it's kinda cute.

5-6) "I've been spending my time reading the classics." A redraw of this image:

Just cus I can. The book he's reading is Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle". I kinda wanna finish this but I dunno if I will.

7) "Lime Dawn Blast". We just kinda gloss over how Dishy just "makes" some detergent during his route, don't we? Anyway, this isn't final, but I wanted to imagine what Dishy's detergents look like through the dateviators. I think these days most people use dishwasher pods in their dishwasher, so they probably wouldn't be that different from the Dipodgenes, but I personally associate dishwashers with boxed powder detergent. While this sketch is based on the normal Dishy's aesthetic, I think I might experiment with bringing them to another decade - maybe more of a "mascot with attitude" like a Sonic or a Chester Cheetah. I mean, its name is "Lime Dawn Blast" - it'd totally be some kind of extreme dude with attitude~ I think the other detergent flavors would be a little more modest though.

8-9) Scrapped emote sketches. I rolled Harper's number when making these, but I didn't like how it was turning out. I also scrapped this Dishy one 'cus I didn't think it'd have wide application.

I'm still at a confusion at how befriending Dishy helps with getting jean loo's hate off

İ learned that if we lost too many times on jean loo's rap thingy and got a hate ending, and then talk to Dishy and friend him, jean loo's hate ending can be gone and we can try again (something something like that I don't remember the full)

What a dishwasher has to do with a toilet

They either friends somehow and Jean loo's the "my friend's friend is a friend of mine"

Or he scared of Dishy and don't wanna mess with us after becoming his friend-

..somehow the second one makes more sense ngl

Yeah, I'm splitting it into parts mostly because the pages are too long, and I don't want to smack y'all's dashboards like that.

There are 9 pages total, so y'all will get 3 pages per part. Maybe I'll make a megapost with all the pages when they're all done, and just put them side by side. The next set might not be here till next weekend though.

Monarch Madness Vol II

I wasn't expecting us to have another one of these so soon after the first one. But I think this time was better than the last.

I actually "dropped out" midway through the event since I still have school and other things to focus on, but I still managed to post more than last time.

Bonus: I posted this screenshot as a submission, but I'm currently working on a new comic, about how Tyrell and Dishy got acquainted. It's getting kinda long though (currently 7 pages, and I think it'll need at least 1 or 2 more to be finished), so I don't know when or if it'll be finished. I guess I could post it in parts...

Tsun/Blush

So, I recently made the discovery that at some point, Dishy's "blush" sprite for pose A was updated to that softer expression on the right. I don't know if this is every instance of this in his route, but they really change the feel of these scenes IMO.

This was probably a mistake from when the sprites were compiled for the game rather than a programming update, because the extracted sprites from the wiki show that his Tsun and Blush expressions for this pose are identical. But, that also means that the wiki doesn't actually have this updated sprite uploaded. It's a real shame because this is one of his cuter ones~

Dishy Dakimakura

My dreams of owning a dakimakura have finally come true~

So a bit of backstory 'cus I love to yap.

I think I've said this before, but the dakimakura as a concept has always been funny to me. It's like peak cringe activity, and I've always liked the idea of having one as a "joke". The joke is usually just that it's a kind of unpopular character (or in the case of the Kun3h0 dakimakura, it is deliberately unsexy unless you're objectum.)

But, I just could not justify putting in that much effort into a gag, so I've been sitting on this idea until I finally found a character that would still read as a joke, but that I still genuinely liked enough to be comfortable owning for an extended period of time.

And then Dishy consumed my soul. I don't know how well it comes across in my sporadic posts, but Dishy has become a very meaningful character to me. Moreso than almost every other blorbo I've had in the past. Besides just what he represents as a character, he is also a marker for some major turning points in my life that I don't want to forget. So I finally decided that "he was the one" for this project.

I worked with my buddy m2rs0 to get this together. It was a commission, so I gave a lot of the direction, but she's the one who really brought this thing to life~ I absolutely adore the results, and I'm glad to have him to just chill with me~

But, I do sort of fear the day when someone walks into my room and I have to explain exactly what it is. (But that's a part of the dakimakura experience, isn't it? XP)
