I can’t believe it, I was about to go to sleep when I decided to open Instagram for the last time today and was “blessed” (lol) with this vision (account: memories.at.Disney) of the two actors who play Ariel and Eric in one of the Disney parks. I think they’re really talented, they seem so perfect for their roles and so spontaneous. I especially love the fact that Ariel looks so happy (unfortunately I can’t see much of her face, because it’s partially hidden by her hair, but she’s still beautiful) and Eric so young, because as I already said in another post, that’s not something I see often in many Ariel and Eric cosplays, but this obviously has to be a very good cosplay, because these are literally two actors hired by one of the Disney parks. They’re really beautiful ❤️😭

The Tightrope Girl

Inspired by one of the paintings in Disney’s Haunted mansion, our client wanted to emulate this “painterly” feeling in her outfit.  To do this, we designed a flower print for the fabric that looked as if it had been lifted from the painting, with a sort of watercolor/translucent effect. It was printed via Spoonflower and is available to purchase in various sized prints and fabric choices!  

We also chose a swirled silky fabric for the pink sleeves to evoke the painting ‘feel’. A soft, faux suede is used for the bodice and capelet, which are both lined in an official Disney printed cotton with roses and hidden Mickey Mouse shadows.  The bodice is steel boned with four layers and closes in the back with a zipper.

Our client sent a pre-made petticoat but it did not have enough “oomph” for the bell shape of the skirt, so we created an additional petticoat to go under it and achieve the shape without going overboard on the poof!  

Lace detailing includes floral lace across the bust, scalloped lace on the white sleeve flounces, and lilac eyelet lace adorning the hem of the skirt.  The subtle flower designs in the different type of lace tie in the floral of the skirt.
