One of the most amazing and empowering events I've ever been a part of. To be in the same room as a Noble Peace Prize winner, to get to hear her talk about the power of young women, the importance of education, and the ability we have to define ourselves on our terms was something I will never forget. #malala #distinguishedspeakerseries (at University at Buffalo)

One of our favorite things to do (and we have a LOT of favorite things to do) is attending the Distinguished Speaker Series of Southern California. Tonight’s speaker was Neil deGrasse Tyson and he put a lot of things into perspective. My take-away? Mostly how amazing it is to be alive and yet so insignificant in relation to the universe. Fortunately for me I can see it from the other way around. @JohnCleese talking about his mother and moles eggs. What a wonderful talk. I was so excited when he came out that I cried.
