I'm so glad for the existence of this incredible human; Ms. Stephanie Johnson aka Tangueray ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book number 30 for 2021 📖 Such an adorable book, though admittedly from a very first-world (and privileged) perspective. Still, it will never not be true that when all hope seems lost, just look at children and immediately feel some kind of hope come back to you. 〰️ #LittleHumans #BrandonStanton #books #photographs #bookstagram #igreads #nevernotreading https://www.instagram.com/p/CURA8OmhGrf/?utm_medium=tumblr

In this video, Brandon Stanton, who is the photographer for Humans of New York, talks about how he approaches people on the street. This video helped me to feel confident enough to approach people in London and talk to them about taking their picture. As he states, “The worst thing you can give off is nervousness.”

I don’t usually post on social media anymore but this deserves to be in my timeline :) I have always loved Humans of New York. I still remember that I cried over some stories the first time I found HONY. Yep, a quote and a photo made me cry. I guess, that’s how powerful HONY stories are. You can connect or relate to the story in one way or another even though it is far from your story. To finally meet the person behind all those heartwarming (sometimes heart wrenching) stories is just surreal. I thought I’ll only hear Brandon talk over Ted videos and conferences uploaded on YT but here he is! :D Of course, my fan girl moment cannot be complete without a selfie :D #HONYFan #BrandonStanton #overjoyed
