Dive 62
Mazu! She’s about 9 pounds and super cute 🦑
She’s going to be released once she’s about 30 pounds
I’ve been wanting to make my dive log more artistic for ages now (and actually keep up with it ofc) so I finally figured out how to use a photo editing application similar to photoshop. This is the first thing I made! It’s a collage of proliferating anemones I saw on a dive at Salt Creek. All of the anemones are edited in except the green one in the middle. Can’t wait to experiment more with this!
I’m working on my dive log right now. It’s sort of like a diving journal; I like to add lots of photos from each dive and my favorite animal I saw. I hope to document better info in the future- I’d love to write down how many of each species nudibranch I see w/ the weather, conditions, and time of diving. Nudibranchs are strangely variable at each site- one day you’ll see tons of a certain species and the next day at the same site you’ll see none and another species will be out. If i record enough data, maybe I can make a hypothesis about why different species are out on different days at the same exact site.
Speckled sanddab from my town’s marine life center
Mazu!!!
Pacific Giant Octopus! She's new to the marine life center and is still acclimating to her new space
OwO what’s this?
