After much deliberation, I have realized that I don't need so many "who is your divine father" tests? but rather, a test like "which god would your character be paired with?" because I like to add demigod children to the mix and do crossovers. For example, a typical Cullen-comes-back-years-later fic… if Bella had had some demigod child, who would she be with? The truth is that it depends a lot on each person's favorite god and their version of Bella. In the case of Marvel, it would be fun if it wasn't Tony Stark, but Pepper who had a demigod son. I'd lean towards Poseidon, because it would be fun if the Avengers expected a mini-duplicate Potts and he turned out to be a sarcastic, problematic boy or girl. And what about 911, which I have also thought about a lot? Sure, it was most likely Buck who had a little mongrel running around, (I have some ideas with an Iris daughter, or a fem-Percy Jackson) but it is canon that Kayla Knowles is Apollo's daughter and has a father mortal. An older, adult daughter of Bobby's would also be interesting. Maybe Athena, or, I don't know why, Demeter I do have an idea of a daughter of Demeter with Kyle Harmon, the son of Horatio Caine from CSI Miami Or a demigod in Teen Wolf. I have a lot of ideas about demigods here and you can ask me: -A daughter of Hades with Victoria Argent, Anastasia Argent, good relationship with the family, Chris knows that she is not her daughter but he loves her just the same, small that she pretends to be macabre but she is adorable. -Twin sons of Apollo and Braeden -A daughter of Ares and Kate Argent, fierce, stubborn, who hates her mother very much. -A little girl also from Kate, daughter of Zeus, Sapphire, younger than Allison, somewhat shy, sweet, but very mature -Cora returns to Beacon Hills with a wolf cub, her two-year-old daughter Eliana, daughter of Apollo. -A daughter of Athena, Olivia McCall, daughter of Rafael McCall

Our patient is (thankfully) sleeping so we’re spending some time with Dad this morning and meditating on His form of Khonsu pa-Khered, or Khonsu the Child.

Strangely there’s not a whole lot of information about this aspect of Dad. We know He is considered a form of Ra, the Divine Child of Amun and Mut. We know He wears the sidelock of youth. That’s it! So if anyone has any good reads and sources about him, we’d love if you could send them along!

We get Khonsu pa-Khered in a nice smush with Ihy, whom we worked with awhile back after He approached us before we knew Dad. I enjoy the implied association with music in reference to Khonsu.

hi i was wondering if you have any info on finding if you have divine parents and if so who they may be?

If Lady Diana was still on Tumblr, I would refer you to her for this question. It is through her precious teachings that I found my divine parent.

I cannot teach her knowledge, but maybe I can share what I saved from it in my notebook and what worked for myself.

Who are the divine parents

They are dieties, gods, olds or new. It could be Christian gods, greco-roman gods, celtic gods, norse gods, jewish, hindu gods, etc.

Sure you could choose your own beliefs, but that doesn't necessarily make the god of your beliefs your divine parent. And as she had so well written, it is a mistake to believe that an old god waits for a mortal to choose him to aesthetically match him like a Barbie doll.

Your divine parent is the deity who attended your birth. But if you try to connect with a deity that is not your divine parent, he / she will not respond and you may get a response from a lesser entity masquerading as that deity. Be careful, such entities could be dangerously deceitful.

How to know

Lady D provided us two methods to find out if you have a divine parent and I tried both of them: with Tarot and by analysing your birth chart.

Analysing your birth chart

If you know all the informations about your birth, go to Astro-chart.com and generate your natal chart.

You'll generate something like this:

Look at your birth sky to know who rules your sign. The more an astrological sign is present, the stronger is the presence of the divinity who rules that sign.

Here we see that the Sun, Venus, Mars, Uranus and Neptune are in Capricorn. The sun and the ascendant are 2X stronger than the other planets. Therefore, counts for each sign 1 point to each presence inside the planet, except for the sun and the ascendant where they count for 2 points. For example:

Venus, Mars, Uranus and Neptune: 4 point for capricorn

Sun: 2 more points for capricorn

Moon: 1 point for pisces

Mercury and Saturn: 2 points for Aquarius

Jupiter and pluto: 2 points for Scorpio

Ascendant: 2 points for Virgo

(Don't count North node, MC and Chiron)

So, Capricorn win with 6 points for your sign, but you have to do the same with the houses to see if the diety who rule the capricorn sign, which is Saturn, is your divine parent.

First, each houses is ruled by a sign. Count the number of planets inside each house. The more planet there is, the more points the house collects.

We know it's the 4th house (ruled by cancer) who win with 6 points. So the ruler of that house is the Cancer's diety: the Moon or Diana.

Could you have two divine parents? Yes. Here, it would be the greco-roman dieties Saturn and Diana (the Moon).

Could you have more, if per exemple the ruler of your sign was Saturn and Pluto, but the Moon for your houses? No. If there is more than two, it's because you don't have divine parents. At least, not greco-roman one!

Using tarot to find your true Gods

It is useful if you don't know where to belong. Tarot can guide you to the gods of your past lives.

First step: invoke your higher self

Overhand shuffle your cards, while asking your higher self "whose mortal child am I?"

Second step: Drawn you cards

Take the card on the top of the deck and the one at the bottom.

Third step: Find your god

Gaze at the cards you drew and wait for your past lives memories to come to you.

Did the jackal in the Wheel of fortune give you a vision of the desert? Look to the religion of ancient Egypt.

Did the laurel in the Six of Wands transport you to a windy place with dark blue seas? Follow the footsteps of the ancient Greeks.

Did the Ten of Pentacles seem to rearrange itself into a tree? That symbol is Kabbalistic. Turn to jewish mysticism.

There, you will find your god.

For me, I tried with my tarot deck first as I wasn't familiar with astrology and saw a man with a big beard in the Ace of sword, but I didn't know who to match what I saw. Then, I learned astrology tips to find out. I introduced myself properly and I received an answer which that dispelled any possible doubts whether it was him.

So i fully figured it out today and Apollo attended my birth (according my natal chart) and I’m so happy about it. Unbelievable almost. He spoke to me in my mind saying “Apollo” and in multiple signs about 2-3 months ago after me asking “who is my male counterpart?” my masculine energy. (I wasn’t even looking up Greek gods at the time and haven’t looked into Apollo whatsoever so I was like “???” When I heard/thought it so I didn’t even really believe it at first). Now that I’ve sat here and figured out which god attended my birth and it’s Apollo I’m just 🥺💛

The very premise of Pantheon is playing through mythic adventures with demigods, the children of gods, so as you can imagine, their Divine Parents play a pretty major role in the game. But sometimes Divine Parent as an umbrella term is a term of convenience, for not all demigods truly have a Divine Parent.

There are some gods across various pantheons for whom having a child would be either mythologically inaccurate or simply tonally dubious, but we wouldn't want to leave them out of the game entirely. So for those gods who don't have children, they can instead become a Divine Patron, blessing an infant with their powers so that they grow into a being as powerful as any trueborn demigod.

While Divine Patrons and Divine Parents behave mostly the same way, there is one crucial difference: the powers from a Divine Parent are innate in a demigod, while Divine Patrons have given their power as a gift. While they will tend to be as fond of their surrogate child as any Divine Parent, should they be seriously antagonized, they can revoke their powers all at once, something a Divine Parent simply cannot do.

A much rarer way of receiving divine power, called Divine Possession, comes when a god inhabits the body of a mortal, becoming a being with roughly the power of a demigod and a personality somewhere between the divine self and the mortal self.
