FLIES IN BEFORE SUNDAY ENDS HONEY I'M HOME
“Tiki, can I ask you something?”
The divine voice looked up to see her wife leaning in the door frame, looking more uncomfortable than ever. Lately, Lucina has been avoiding the girl for a while and she wasn’t sure what to do exactly. Tiki closed her book and gave Lucina a gentle smile, to reassure her that she could ask anything.
“What is it, Lucina?” She asked in a gentle voice. Lucina was silent for a few minutes before finally sighing and looking down at her feet.
“When you agreed to marry me, did you agree because I looked like… Him?”
Oh. Tiki knew where this was going.
She knew Lucina had these thoughts for a while, especially with the fact that Tiki said Lucina did remind her of her childhood sweetheart.
She needed to put an end to this right now. For Lucina. For herself.
A sigh left her own mouth and she stood up, walking over to Lucina to cup her cheek with her own hand.
“You need to stop doubting yourself. I don’t love him anymore, Lucina. I agreed to marry you for you. It doesn’t matter if you look like him or act like him. I admire you for the person you are. You are your own separate person, and that’s why I love you.”
She wiped Lucina’s tears away, tears that Lucina didn’t even know she cried, before holding her in an embrace.
“I promise, my vows were sincere. I love you for you, my dear.”
