i want to use this more as a "blog", so here's (old) photos of my gentle room renovation from last year. i tore up the wall-to-wall carpet squares, sanded down the weird brown paint on the softwood pine, and painted the wood floor. other than that, i just put a lot of holes in the wall.

sometimes you just gotta fuck around and lose your safety deposit amirite

most of the stuff ya see here (including the bulk of the furniture) is thrifted or bought from indie artists/shops... or pulled outta the garbage :^)

Fazendo o rack novo. Esqueci de fotografar o processo até agora, mas ainda falta bastante.

Por enquanto apenas uni as tábuas para formar os topos, cortei um recuo para o rodapé e usinei canais de 6mm para as portas.

A proposta é substituir o rack antigo por um móvel com linhas mais horizontais, que alongue essa parede e ocupe ela melhor. As portas foram pensadas para permitir o uso dos controles remotos mesmo com os equipamentos (videogame, receptores de internet e tv a cabo) escondidos.

Montei de forma improvisada apenas para ter uma ideia da transparência das portas de chapa de aço perfurada e ver o look final.

A couple of years ago, we painted my son's rooms like mountains. To do things a little different in the other unoccupied bedroom, I wanted to go ocean... but the paint schemes turned out a bit similar.... Call the others mountains, or add decor to emphasize the beach theme?

My vintage inspired room, with a hand made pallet-bed which doubles as starage, couch and at the end there’s a table with bench. Add another chair and there’s place for four people!!  For me nature is really important, so I really enjoy using re-purposed materials and recycling.(AND loads and loads of plants (36 and counting)) The lamp above my table is made from old flashlights and the one next to my bed is made from an old camera.

 I love this place <3
