These adorable snowman hat treats are perfect for winter celebrations and make a fun project for kids and adults alike. They are made with marshmallows, chocolate cookies, and a touch of creativity to bring the snowmen to life.
Ingredients: 12 large marshmallows. 12 chocolate sandwich cookies Oreo-style. 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips. 1/4 cup white chocolate chips. 12 small red candies e.g., M&M's or Skittles. 12 small orange candies e.g., Reese's Pieces. 12 small pretzel sticks.
Instructions: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Separate the chocolate sandwich cookies, keeping only the chocolate cookie halves for this recipe. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Take one marshmallow and dip the bottom into the melted chocolate, then place it on top of a chocolate cookie half, creating the snowman's body and hat. Repeat step 4 for all 12 marshmallows and cookies, and allow them to set on the parchment paper. Melt the white chocolate chips in a separate microwave-safe bowl using the same method as in step 3. Use a toothpick or small piping bag to create eyes and a mouth with the melted white chocolate on each snowman. Press a small red candy into the center of each marshmallow for the snowman's nose. Attach a small orange candy to the front of the marshmallow for the snowman's scarf. Break the pretzel sticks in half and insert one half on each side of the marshmallow to create arms. Allow the chocolate to fully set, which should take about 30 minutes at room temperature. Once set, your Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Snowman Hats are ready to enjoy!
