My take on the wolf!Derek trope. Begins more or less shortly after the Hale fire, about a year (I'm estimating) after Claudia's death. Becomes sort of canonical toward the end of part two, insofar as it takes into account all the goings-on of S1, but is canon divergent after that.

a b s o l u t e l y. if there were ever a time to 'correct' that, it's long gone. and tbh Malia doesn't much care. Lydia knows how to smile and schmooze and be diplomatic, when the situation calls for it, and Malia comes in with all the grace of a drunk Buffalo and throws everything off the rails. which is a killer one-two punch that serves them well.

but yeah I think it's also nice for Derek to be close to what little family he has, and Malia likes to know that killing doesn't actually run in her family, and they probably hang out naked, let's be real, chilling in Derek's apartment and catching up on a list of ESSENTIAL POP CULTURE!!! Stiles has supplied them with.
