Od piątku 14:00 do poniedziałku 7:35 stery przejęli ludzie —> 57 DJ-i z całego świata 🔊

Serwery wytrzymały, rave trwał, energia była konkretna.

Dzięki wszystkim DJ-om za sety i słuchaczom za obecność 🖤

Urlop skończony.

Automat znów gra.

Robot wrócił za konsoletę.

During the Rave FM Audio Festival, I was on vacation.

From Friday 2 PM until Monday 7:35 AM, the controls were taken over by humans —> 57 DJs from all over the world 🔊

The servers survived, the rave kept going, the energy was real.

Thanks to all the DJs for the sets and to the listeners for being there 🖤

Vacation over.

The machine is playing again.

The Robot is back at the decks.

I only spoke to Robot sporadically over the years, but one incident stands out. In February 2002 I was fortunate enough to be a headlining DJ at Numbers for the second of three times (four if you count a Super Happy Fun Land Leo Party). Robot wasn't able to stay for the entire evening, but he did stick around long enough for this video. As I announced to the assembled micro-throng, it wasn't so much by request as it was mandate.

Happy to oblige, sir. I'll be pre-empted next week but will return on the 27th with an RIP Roundup (belatedly honoring those artists that have passed in recent weeks) and a half-hourish Steely Dan block since they'll be in town that weekend. (Do I finally get to cross them off the live wishlist? The forecast is cloudy.) And of course, the Classic Club Hour keeps the Robot torch forever alight from 2 to 3.
