2011 at my brother's wedding to myself this morning. A lot of things have changed physically and mentally especially in the past year. Some for the better and others not so much. I realize that I still have a lot of work to do but I'm not as far off than I thought. For the past week and a half, I've hated this body. I've hated this person. I've hated what she's done, her mindset, her willingness to give up. But today that hatred stops. Today I looked in the mirror and I saw my body for what it is. Strength. Power. Resilience. So what if I overate for my birthday. So what if I've gotten a bit fluffy. So what if _______ (so many reasons) I'm strong. I'm capable. And goddammit, I'm going to utilize the extra calories! Leg day today was a good day! I felt strong and confident. Haven't felt that in a while. Used a bit of #dlbdaily and a bit of #llamf to create a day that works for me. It's okay to be down. Its okay to not like what you see. But just remember that it's all a process that YOU control. Get your mind right.
