emmeline adored most everyone in the order. they had been a second family to her and supported her through the roughest times of her life. but when the war had ended and margot had entered her life, she found herself taking an enormous leap back from her old life. she wasn’t as close to some people as she was before and everyone attributed it to people moving on with their lives. so when she spotted a familiar face after grabbing a drink she couldn’t help but bear a sheepish smile and wave them over. “long time no see, monsieur. care to join me while i drink my troubles away?”
dcrcasm said: (from william/guillermo) ❝ I’m surprised to see you here ❞
it had been a voice she’d surely never forget speaking to her from across the alleyway. the two had a tumultuous history, to say the least. guillermo had worked alongside her father on his missions to the united states and often stayed at the selwyn house during the war. her parents had tried many times to push the two towards each other and failed. while they knew each other quite well, persephone would have been lying if she said she was pleased to see the man. the witch approached the other, speaking bluntly without hesitation, “did my father send you out here to check on me? or did you just miss me?”
solemnlyiswear asked: ❝ There are way too many rules in Quidditch ❞
“you’re telling me.” with a small smirk, she returned her attention to the hordes of people standing in line in front of the two. “i never really understood the hype, i’m only here because i was promised free drinks by a coworker.” with a groan she continued, “all i want are some french fries, it looks like i’m going to be having them for dinner by the time we get to the front of this line.” the brunette leaned against the nearest wall, clearly annoyed with her current situation.

large sporting events had never been the woman’s thing. while many of her friends had played in their youth, persephone preferred to skip the games altogether and find other means of entertainment. it wasn’t until her younger brother, eridanus, had gotten into the game that she truly started paying attention. he spent much of his life before his untimely passing dragging his older sister to games. and it was an event like this that he would have had absolutely adored. the only reason the selywn heiress even attended was because she had promised her closest friends she would make a brief appearance.
it was no surprise she’d found herself at the nearest pub to the event and it was there that she made herself at home. the witch took a seat at a booth furthest from the entrance, knowing that she was sure to run into someone she knew. and before she knew it, she spotted a familiar face from across the room that nearly made her drop the glass of firewhisky she had been nursing since arriving. remus had been a former flame, to say the least. persephone had made it a point for the last several months to avoid him. the two ended on bad terms and it had taken her too long to heal from the heartbreak. as soon as he was close enough to hear, she took a deep breath and called out, “long time no see, remus.”
@infiniteincantatem ( morgana ) : ❝ oh, goody, we fit right in. ❞
Drink in one hand and snacks on another, they are the spitting image of the other. “If you ask me, they are the fools. Who in their right mind would spend hours watching a bunch of flyers trying to catch a ball if all it takes it’s a tiny one to end everything? We are far better out here, drinking and eating sounds a lot funnier.”
@solemnlyiswear ( evan ) : ❝ we failed before. but can you at least let us try? ❞
“This is disgusting, you will have to nail it if you wish to have a job by the end of your shift.” She points at the dreadful cocktail the bartender has served her. Perhaps Evan wasn’t even speaking of the drink and other business but clearly, Aaliyah had her priorities straight.
@evcnesco ( cora ) : ❝ oh my god, i should be drinking for this. ❞
“Agreed.” A quidditch festival seemed as boring as she had thought, surely she was better on a boat around the amalfi coast. Taking a sip from her Beetle Berry Whiskey, she turns to the woman next to her. “What’s your excuse to be here drinking instead of cheering on the next champion?”
