This is my favourite TV advert of the year. The film is for Det Norske Bank (The Norwegian Bank)

The beauty of the advert is that it is for a bank, and in advertising, banks are known to take the least possible risk in adverts to avoid losing face and worse - customers.

Girls, I had the wildest time with George Clooney last night. Also? He loves me.

This is one of those things you watch all the way through without breathing, because if you breathe, honey might say something that will make this go poof!, and we must at all costs keep her from doing that. Together. Also -- George Clooney happily-ever-after dreams? Way better than Kate Moss bunny sex dreams. Just sayin'. Sly work with a solid punchline by agency Try/Apt for Norwegian online banking service DnB NOR.

I just love this ad. Mostly because he mentions where I spend most my life. Ahhh Clooney.

Pension and Saving - Boring and hard to sell without Clooney

DnB Nor, Norway's largest financial service group, has made a brilliant commercial about the need to make savings. The film is funny and probably right on the spot regarding lots of womens' hopes and dreams.

Whether the story or joke and George Clooney overshadows the company brand is hard to tell, however I strongly believe that the message get across to a target group that seldom gives saving and pension much thought.

The idea and execution is worth sharing and credits go to the Ad agency TRY:

The message is:

"Some people are lucky in life"

"For the rest of us, saving up can be smart"

"DnB NOR - Bank from A to Z"

George Clooney in a commercial for Norwegian bank DNB NOR.

I nearly died when I watched this for the first time, haha! :D How in the hell did they get George Clooney to do this ad? "I've been going online looking for places for us in 'Lillistrom'... 'Lillistrom'?" I literally laughed out loud at that part. Anyone who knows where Lillestrøm is, knows that it's a very unlikely place for George Clooney to ever settle down, and the way he pronounces it is funny :P

And that girl has the best facial expressions! All the awards to her! Haha :D
