((Yesterday's DnD Session was SO Good. I will try to summarize it. We finally encountered our Cleric's lost brother, who of course turned out to be working for the BBEG. He tried to convince Cleric to join him, however, Cleric refused. So we ended up having to fight him.
The fight itself was so well designed. Our DM did a great job!! I wish I could go more into detail on how thriling it was and how well balanced it was, too, but I'm not sure how to convey all of this.
But anyway, in mid battle Cleric's brother actually made a big mistake and opened himself up to Curumë's sneak attack, and Curumë stabbed him in the back, literally. Killing him.
Which made Cleric very upset. We had interesting party drama with Cleric blaming Curumë for killing his brother, telling him it had not been his choice to make and with Curumë arguing that his brother would have killed Cleric if he had not done it, that he had had been given a Choice and chose to die.
So, that was spicy. But it turned out even spicier. Because after the fight, Cleric asked everyone to leave him with his dead bro for a moment. Curumë was suspicious and rolled an insight check, but it was kind of bad so he did not get a hint of what Cleric was about to do.
And here the major props go out to Cleric Player. because he basically turned full *evil*. Saying that this was part of his plan, revealing (well secretly still but whatever), that he was not sad his bro died at all.
The hting is, it is Cleric's plan to turn Fighter into a God. Since all the other Gods are fake in this setting and he is very much desillusioned.
Curumë is the only one who knows about this. And he is *strongly* opposed to it, downright having told him before that he would stop him if he tried.
Curumë actually thinks that the world should have 0 Gods. And also that fighter shouldn't be put into this position. So there is drama waiting to happen. :')
Also I have said so before but Curumë is forgoing a redemption arc in this Campaign. So later he actually sat down with Wizard, feeling very insecure about what he did with Cleric's brother.
He is kind of trying to figure out things, with having lost his companions and how that went for him.
Wizard kind of reinforced him thouzgh in what he did, so uh I don't think he will learn much. Either way, they also had a talk about the Gods and Curumë hinted at Cleric's plan. But for now he is too much friends with Cleric to downright tell the others.
Its not his call to make. But he is getting increasingly worried. He is kind of worried about all of the other party members. :') His only family left in this world.
Anyway. There was some more stuff about Lore but that really would be too complicated to tell! I love this campaign so much. It is so good.))
