Why don't you have MDNI on your blog? I'm not accusing you of being a pred or anything, I'm just curious /genuine

i actually reblogged something relating to this a while ago, ironically (rottennfoxx's post).

we don't have mdni (minors do not interact) for a number of reasons. the main reason is that this blog has no dni, at all, since we view dni's as performative and useless. if a minor wants to interact with a blog, a dni won't stop them, and, additionally, you can't really police who does and doesn't interact with your blog. the most you can do is block people you don't want on your blog.

that being said, we don't block minors who interact with us, because we have no reason to. this blog is not a nsfw blog, and when we rarely reblog adult content, it's tagged with our adult content tag, so those who wish to can block it. yes, we are chronologically an adult, but we've only actually been an adult for a couple of months, and, due to various factors, our internal age is subject to change and often younger.

our boundaries surrounding minors are these; we do not and will not dm minors, and we won't talk about adult topics with minors (for obvious reasons).

"men dni" blogs kindly take yourselves elsewhere. i am a whole ass man and im going to apologize to no one for that. also just follow your own dni, if you don't want men to interact with you then don't reblog or like their posts.

i find the whole thing really pointless honestly. it implies that men are inherently predatory/their interactions with you are predatory. it also does nothing but contribute to transmasc and ftm erasure. hi we exist.

i keep seeing posts mocking nsfw/porn blogs for having mdni, and like… yeah, i'm very critical of dni's, but i feel like not wanting to interact with minors when you run a nsfw/porn blog is a very reasonable boundary actually 🫪

I'm the type to see Jimmy as the "don't care, don't push it in my face" type and it's why I think shoving some things in his face is funny.

If he knows you and letting you do it, that's actually a lot of trust that you'll tone it down for him or use more "layman's terms". You don't listen to him? He gets annoyed and walks away.

However I think he's weirdly passionate about rehab even if he sucks at actually learning from his experiences. I don't think he's been to jail nor prison, but he fears it deeply due to his unstable mental health used against him.

Curly probably was the first to even listen to him and say he wasn't crazy. I wouldn't put it passed on Anya nor Swansea either that they didn't notice his behavior. Swansea DID "monologue" at Jimmy in a way that showed he saw himself in Jimmy. (Plus I can't help but think Jimmy saw Daisuke as like a mirror. A "before" everything got to him, which made him both afraid when he got hurt but still used him anyway. "He has mommy and daddy after all." Jimmy may have had parents that weren't great and simply tried to distance himself from Daisuke, especially at the news he was likely going to be back on Earth and jobless while entirely unable to job hunt due to the haul.)

I think he's a man that lost control, made awful choices, and should've been in rehab and not working as a pilot. He could've been better. But the company let him start the fire so their hands were "clean".
