I've been trying to write this on Reddit, but kept being silenced by getting no upvotes or even just getting automatically deleted, so here I am.

Also, if you find this post triggering, please look away now. This post is made for the sole purpose of finding potential victims of this sort of online abuse. If you or anyone you know has gone through this, just know that you are not alone, and nobody has the rights to harass you like that. If you have your own stories about this sort of thing, comment it or pm me if you would like (which is more recommended) and boost this post too so other Shawols wouldn't have to think they have to face this alone. So... I haven't been doing well lately due to a message online that triggers me until this day.

What I'm saying is that one day, I was on Tumblr when I've seen a notification popping up from someone. When I clicked on it, it was an ask. At that moment when I read it, my heart ached.

Someone said something along the lines of "why would you write a fanfiction of someone who killed himself" and I started to feel sick to my stomach. Just to be clear that I've NEVER written any fanfictions on the app and was possibly referring to posts that I've reblogged. Regardless, it was a disgusting thing they wrote, especially with the fact that they referred to Jonghyun as "deadman" or "someone who had killed himself" which would refer to Dec 18th.

I've spoken to someone over the internet and he said that this has been happening to him as well. As someone who writes fanfictions as a cope mechanism, he feels constantly shamed for even having a connection with him after all these times. There were even other times where he was told that Jonghyun never liked him, which put him in a deep depression for 6-8 months where he would attempt to kill himself multiple times, but managed to escape it due to the fact that he had emotional support such as his friends, family, therapists, etc. I, in the other hand, never had anybody around me. In fact, my mental health was always dismissed to everyone except one, my older sister. It was so bad that it even impacted my college and my relationships with my parents.

Although it's something small, I've found out that someone has went through something similar and I was able to make them feel like they were not alone. Now, me and my online friends are trying to start a tradition where we would drink at least 1000ml during the anniversary to commemorate his chest in which his fans would call "his man boobies." It's called #milkforjonghyun and you can search up for more information on Tumblr. Not only it was about making the day much less bearable for most, but it's for us to protest against people like that from dictating how we mourn and cope with our loss. Surprise enough, these people are typically trolls and not really fans trying to prey on vulnerable and grieving Shawols that may or may not have a big risk of mental health issues or possibly even suicide themselves.

Just for a question here... have you guys ever received a message like this? Please let me know so I don't feel like I'm alone in this.

You keep saying that the NN repeal vote is just the FCC proposing a repeal bill to congress. Can I get a source for this? I thought these were rule changes, not proposed bills, which would mean it doesn't need congressional approval?

Thanks for asking this, Anon. I myself have mainly seen talk about how people must contact their congress members and such and most of the information I say on here I have found through reblogging other’s post, and being given helpful information from through my inbox. I have only seen one post on here that actually said congress cannot help and that you must contact to convince one of the 3 FCC members. Since this is only the second I’ve seen something stating doubts about the situation and that Congress can’t do anything i did research for specifically this statement and found out several articles state it will immediately be taken to court again after the FCC votes today. I have been trying to post updated information daily, along with facts that I assumed were true since so many different people had confirmed them. I will try to update information asap.

Also, since i am on mobile, linking the articles I have found from researching are a bit difficult for me to do considering the age of my phone and lag and not being able to do much with hyperlinking in ask. I will tell you what I searched though so you may go for yourself. They are all on the first page in google search and near the top, so finding them should not be as difficult as assumed. • “how can net neutrality be saved”• “what can congress do about net neutrality”• “what can the USA government do about the repeal of net neutrality”

Those recent searches gave me the most results. There were also very many articles with information stating Congress has written letters and tried to meet up with FCC members, mainly Ajit Pai, and were actually ignored or denied which is extremely suspicious. Pai is also said to be under investigation for using peoples real names in creating fake comments in support of the repeal, as to which is illegal by identity theft and fraud and if he is found guilty he will be arrested. The GOP also actually presented a bill to Congress from what I’ve found out here to legally protect Net Neutrality, and if it’s passed then the FCC may no longer be able to repeal Net Neutrality at all, however I am still looking into that myself and haven’t heard word of it being passed yet.

Two places that had a lot of information and stated this will have to go through the courts immediately after the vote is done, from what I can presently remember, were WIRED and New York Times. I’m not sure how credible WIRED is, but I know the New York Times is credible considering how much emphasis was put on it as a credible source from my school district, and I trust it.

Basically, Congress has been trying to stop and delay the FCC vote as much as possible, and that immediately after the FCC votes, it will be taken into the courts and most likely stopped again like I’ve heard what happened last time the FCC tried to do this. Ajit Pai is apparently ignoring Congress and the people of America from what I’ve found out, and hopefully we will be able to stop this once again in court, and have the GOP’s protection bill pass if it is legitimate and will protect Net Neutrality from being repealed again. If I have been giving out false information than I apologize, I was trying my best to post information accurately from what I have learned from mainly articles and links and post from tumblr along with my own outside research.

The last thing we need now is for people to panic, I hope that nobody just skims this, since it’s one of my longest post, and reads the entire thing. We cannot give up hope everyone! Keep fighting and having hope! Also I hoped this information was useful to you anon.

This may sound stupid to some, but from what I know their mom is a very scary woman, and it would not be good if she saw what was on their blog. So we have a plan.
