docpearl for the poor mayhaps? please :3 (/nf!)

For a long time, Doc thought he was the strangest creature on Hermitcraft. Sure, none of the hermits are exactly normal, but it's hard to match up to a creeper, cyborg, something or other who had an arm stolen by a god and spontaneously grew goat horns.

So the arrival of Pearl was a surprise. He didn't realise that when she said the moon was her cousin, that she meant it literally.

Some DocPearl for Break-

Pearl didn’t mean to break Doc’s redstone. She really didn’t. She was being so careful! He was showing off some contraption to her that she barely understood, hyping her up, calling her a redstone prodigy. All her blood rushed to her cheeks, making her a little lightheaded, as she waved off the compliments.

Of course, she was distracted enough by his explanation of the machine to not notice the wiring under her feet and with a resounding snap a repeater she hadn’t seen broke and sent her tumbling to the ground. The unfortunate thing about Doc building out of deep slate diamond ore is that both of those materials are quite hard, which Pearl discovered as she hit the ground face first. Pain exploded behind her eyes like firework rockets. As she scrambled to get up, redstone dust smudged under hands, only further disturbing the machine. Her eyes filled with tears both from the pain and anticipation of Doc’s anger at her messing things up.

Doc, of course, couldn’t care less about needing to replace a repeater and couple lines of dust when his partner was there clutching her face, blood dripping down between her fingers, a darker color than the redstone it was falling on. With surprising gentle hands, he moved Pearl’s own hands away from her face to check, tutting softly at her clearly broken nose. He reached into his inventory for a potion of healing, coaxing her to drink it. They both flinched at the crunching noise of her nose snapping into place.

“M’ sorry I messed up your redstone,” Pearl mumbled, not making eye contact. Doc pulled her into a hug.

“Redstone I can fix, I’m more worried about breaking my Pearl,”

Doc makes sure the lingering injuries are properly cleaned and covered, even though Pearl insisted it wasn't necessary. Then he makes dinner. Fixing the redstone can easily wait until another time.

It is not recommended to do gender affirming surgery on yourself and your partner. Luckily, Doc is a mad scientist in the best sense of the term and doesn't care. After all, she looks great, and Pearl looks even better!

Omg, it’s embarrassing how long it’s taken me to get around to this. Things:

Given the opportunity, I will eat a lot of candy. A lot.

I don’t know anything about plumbing.

I will put pickles on any type of foodstuff at least once. (note: pickles with flatbread and Nutella may be glorious in the moment but, fifteen minutes later, you will have regrets.)

I am terrible at parking. Not just parallel parking. All parking. I will get the vehicle parked, and it may look great when it’s finally done, but it will take me at least two tries to do it.

Holding my breath freaks me out. I don’t know why, exactly? But I start to get supremely uncomfortable and claustrophobic after about 25sec. This is probably a big part of why I don’t swim.
