@mandimmarsh - After 21 days, this morning we were able to get my very sick patient out of the ICU 🙏🏻 . I was with him when he came in as a trauma - an 18 yo gunshot wound to the abdomen after being a victim of a drive by shooting. I held pressure when we rushed to the OR and he’s had a rough recovery. But today, he looked at me and smiled ☀️ and I remembered THIS is why we do medicine. .
