Doctor Mid Nite, 2019. . Charles McNider is another member of the Justice Society Of America, and yes, he IS a medical doctor! In fact, his origin story involves him trying to remove a bullet from a witness about to testify against mobsters...up until the mobsters in question threw a grenade into the room, killing the witness and blinding Doctor McNider. However, it turns out that rather than being truly blind, his vision was altered so that he could only see in total darkness. Like any good scientist in comics, he went and developed special lenses that let him see in light, but also ‘blackout bombs’ capable of blocking out any light source, as you do.
