(also) thinking about attaway general and my nostalgia for skins. a few years ago, i remember everyone making fun of tiktokers because people like addison and charli became famous overnight for no particular reason. i really liked videos like that, i think because i was a stan in denial. i only heard "obsessed" through a video making fun of tiktoker songs, a song that i immediately liked and went to listen to right after the video was over.

back to my point, i saw a video of someone reacting to attaway general (specifically nick diramio's video). i wound up watching a little bit of the actual show afterwards. the score reminds me so much of skins. that made me want to like it (i didn't, because it was poorly written and acted). dixie's character had the potential to be the effy of attaway with her toying with the guy she likes for no real reason. i like that they're all in a scenario where they're forced to spend time with each other. high school in media was kind of sold as this place with tons of potential to meet someone who could change your life (it wasn't). tv shows set in school don't really hit the same anymore. i can't remember the last time i watched a tv show set in high school other then euphoria, which is more like a soap opera or a thriller than a teen drama rooted vaguely in realism.

i don't know what my point is. i just miss skins.
