It’s the end of an era. My heart hurts, but I think it’s for the best like a lot of people are saying. AH hasn’t been the same for a long time and this is a way to turn and revitalize the folks with new energy. DogBark premieres on my birthday (10/2) and it feels like both a nice birthday present and kind of a kick in the teeth.

Rest In Peace, Achievement Hunter. You brought me through some of my darkest days (to be fair, created some of them too). I’m glad you existed. I found best friends and romantic partners because you were here. I owe a lot to Achievement Hunter being a huge part of my life for literally over ten years.

I’m excited to see what comes next with DogBark and the other groups, but mourning what came before. However, I’m very happy that my biggest fear didn’t come true, which was AH exploding and everyone scattering. This is the best possible ending for AH. Time to bury it with grace and move on.

(As an aside, why is it always around my birthday all the bullshit happens with this company?)
