It was my puppers birthday this past Sunday. For those of us; crazy dog people🤣, that’s a big deal. And if I had any friends that liked dogs, they would have been most cordially invited to a pupper bday party on Sunday night, lol.
Also, for the amount of times I’ve had to go to baby showers, and kids birthday parties, and rsvp “yes” to incredibly boring “come over to my house, and sit here for 8 hours straight” events; with presents in tow, you’d think people could at least reciprocate, and send the crazy dog-lady a ‘happy bday to your dog!’ text, email, Instagram comment...nope, with the exception of my bf who bought her an acorn shaped dog bed, and a Petco gift card, and a doggy cupcake! Although I can however hear everyone’s secret judging voices in my head, lol. Not that I mind, I can think of a lot more bizarre, and horrifying things I’ve seen people do that makes my buying 4 different “Happy Birthday” banners at the Dollar Store for a dog seem totally normal. Ha.
Also, birthdays make me incredibly sad, and nostalgic (and not just my own). I didn’t have Miss Ginger when she was a puppy (that baby photo is her, and her previous owner sent it to me!), and I feel like I missed out on lots of crazy dog-lady activities, and antics.
Lastly, that little blue “It’s My Birthday Today!” pin Miss Ginger is wearing is mine from childhood, and every year I manage to lose/find it just in time. :)
