#my pets #night #dog shapes #pretty sure rocket is somewhere behind him here but lol #he'd like to audition to be a sight hound I think #he and his nose are really not very long though #btw this was like 30 minutes after his bath and he was almost completely dry #for reference it takes stormy /at least/ an hour to fully dry after being toweled and she's the second fastest at drying #I really like his coat now it took a bit for me to warm up to it since his brother is really soft and he's /not/#but it has gotten softer since his teenage coat and it's soooooo easy to maintain #I got him thinking his coat would be a lot of work (which I prepared for!!) like rocket's ended up being but nope not at all what I got #and ya know? I really can't complain. In fact I can joke brag about how dry my dog is when his brother is still a soggy beast :)#no one cares how fast my dogs dry but it's interesting to me and this is my dog blog so if you read this far I am not sorry #but I do hope you're having/had a good day

My crowdfunder has stalled. Only one donation in last 24 hours. I have enough to pay for Jake's funeral which is the important part. Just nowhere near enough to pay for a cuddle clone. But that's ok, I'll just have to save myself for that. Some well-meaning people have messaged me linking to people who make felted versions of dogs on etsy much cheaper. But I don't want a cheap version, I want one that's going to last. You get what you pay for and all. Plus I don't like the texture of felted animals. I just wish these people would stop trying to be helpful. Don't they think that I looked into this in great detail before hand? This is fucking important to me, it's not like I just chose the first place I saw. Now I know people are going to read those comments and say "ah well, Luc can just get one of those instead" and not bother donating. As is their right, it just stings is all. Trying to focus on the positive. I can pay for Jake to be cremated now and he can come home soon. It might take a few extra months before I can get his cuddle clone but at least he'll be home.

As you probably know I recently had to have my service dog and best friend in the world put to sleep due to bone cancer. I loved him a lot, he meant the world to me and I miss him like crazy.

As Jake is a Rottweiler his cremation fees are just under £300 which is a lot of money for a student and part time worker, and I would appreciate any help you can provide towards this. There is also a company that custom makes plush replicas of pets through photos and I am hoping to raise enough money to order myself a Jake plushie. Any help, whether large or small would be greatly appreciated. If I somehow go over the target then any extra funds will go towards travel and accommodation costs for me and my best friend to scatter the ashes of both our dogs where we first met.
