Dogfish - Squalus suckleyi

Despite their name, they are actually sharks and they are not related to dogs.

They have sharp spines in front of their dorsal fins. (the ones on top)

They are usually bycatch and I've heard they are not yummy.

They pee through their skin! Not exactly, they get rid of urea, a component that you can find in normal pee, through their skin. When they die the urea decomposes and creates ammonia, giving them a characteristic smell that is commonly referred as "piss".

Yeah, they smell like pee... gross... in an scientifically interesting way!
