if you are looking for good zombie movies or good foreign horror movies or good found footage horror movies or good demonic possession horror movies or good pathogen horror movies (goodness knows I always am) I HHHIIIIIGHLY recommend the REC movies it's a Spanish trilogy in the vein of found footage stuff like V/H/S or The Blair Witch Project, about the spread of a virus responsible for demonic possession/zombification. It's. So damn good. Like holy cheezus it just keeps up the tension so well and the second and third movies resolve plot holes in the first and the effects used are genuinely scary and just wowowowow give them a try My only quip is that the pacing of the third is a little off, something about the abruptness of the "everything going to shit" phase feels off to me. Also, on the topic of European horror and pathogen horror, I don't think I ever gave The Gerber Syndrome: Il Contagio the review it deserves It gives off very similar vibes to REC and follows a very similar concept, sans the demonic possession. I will warn you that there's a bit of very startling character death (probably one f the first times I've ever gotten attached to a character in a horror film????) near the end. It had the same tension, sans the found footage aesthetic. Rather, it's an excellently done mockumentary (complete with mock professional interviews and a creepy puppet in a mock public service announcement). What amazes me is how few people know it exists, it's so good it really deserves a bigger audience than it has. Give it a watch for shizzle
