Join us at the Canvas Cafe on Sunday, May 6th from 12:00 to 16:00 as we celebrate Caribbean literature! Our featured guests are: Acclaimed Poet and Teaching Artist Cheryl Boyce-Taylor who will be reading from her latest poetry collection ‘Arrival’, a book of poems dedicated to both her Trinidadian parents and to the memory of her beloved son Malik Boyce-Taylor (aka as Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest). St Lucian born-London raised multi disciplinary creative (poet, performer and arts educator) Curmiah Lisette. Curmiah’s spoken word performances are magical and for our Brunch she will be sharing her work via both performance and readings. Dr Nicole Corriette will be leading an insightful talk on Diabetes prevention and care within the Afro Caribbean community and will be on hand to take a few questions after. The Canvas Cafe will be serving up a specially curated IGR menu and the IGR pop up shop will be stocked with all the fly IGR gear. This one is extra special and space is limited so please do book early to avoid disappointment. All funds raised at our Let’s Get Lit Brunch will be donated to organisations which raise awareness of Diabetes and Kidney disease prevention.
