god I would cry so many happy tears if we got Madame Hydra - that is the one Cap villain I want more than any other in the movies....but back to crazy 50s!Cap, you could be right and the screenwriters are just fucking with us, but it could end up being something where he's used/manipulated by the /real/ villain, like in the first BuckyCap storyline.
Apparently your standards (at least as far as goes for Sharon being served well) aren't anyone's standards, either. As what few reviewers who have bothered to mention her do so to point out the meagerness of her involvement.
Well, you can doubt whatever you want, I know I love the character and I loved how she was in the movie and I really hope she's in more. So I really can't help you if you insist on being angry before seeing anything. Literally, that is beyond my control.
Well, you were rooting for this to be a Widow and Cap teamup since day one... But as you've seen it, and I haven't yet, I certainly can't judge if Natasha's role couldn't have been Sharon's, or if Sharon was served well at all (you're the only one saying she is)
Your standards for a character being served well aren't my standards, though?
And rooting for a Cap and Widow team up on the basis of their interactions in Avengers doesn't mean I don't like Sharon. The MCU isn't 616 and vice-versa, what I want in the MCU doesn't mean it's what I want for the characters always. They're separate universes, and I'm treating them as such.
I think that wanting prominent supporting characters having similar capacity and presence DOES NOT constitute wanting strict reconstitution. But congrats of things working out for your favorite character.
I saw the movie. I loved Sharon’s role in it and I loved Sharon. I think it’s a great starting point for her journey as an intro as a character in the MCU and opening the door for her role in further films.
I think it’s impossible to tell the story Cap 2 wanted to tell without pre-established relationships already set up in the MCU, SHIELD, Fury, Natasha and Maria Hill all play key roles that only have the weight they do because we've watched them grow in the narrative of the film universe. Just as Natasha had a sidelined capacity in IM2 and remained to grow and change as a character, I have no doubt Sharon will do similarly.
And Natasha isn’t my “favorite character” because I don’t enjoy stories that way. This isn’t Highlander, it’s narrative.
It’s not a competition for screen-time. It’s an attempt to tell a cohesive, coherent story in an established, shared universe.

Yeah, it was a real gutpunch. I didn’t even catch on at first, thought the mother’s mother missed her wedding and wondered why Ted would get so emotional, then it hit me.
I've been reading fan speculation about that for a while now, and no. I REFUSE.
I know this show does drama well but dammit, I didn't sign up for that ending, or the hint to that ending. Also, we just got to know the Mother! I thought this season was going to be introducing the Mother and her POV, instead we only got one story, and now that very heavy handed ending.
I am going to be so angry if they push through with that.
