Open question to the doll community: what do you consider to be the difference between dolls and action figures?

I find a couple different answers on Google such as: differences in articulation, size, whether or not it's based on a specific character, age of target audience, and gender of target audience.

Personally I see issues with all of these determiners and feel its kinda arbitrary

So the other day I purchased Marisa on eBay the other day for a bit cheaper and uh it had some interesting tags on it?? 👀. Does anyone know what these are? I’d be curious to find out.

So the Barbie Extra #2 and the Fashionista #145 share a face sculpt that I really like and haven’t seen before. I can’t find the name for it or other dolls with the same face, so I assume it’s really new.

Is there any way of knowing if a new face sculpt is likely to keep being used for awhile, or drop back out of production? Because I don’t know if I should wait for more dolls with that face to come out, or buy more of these two while I can.

Do any of the barbie siblings have jointed bodies, not necessarily made to move although that would be nice. Would s petite made to move body work for skipper?

i can find quite a few similar porcelain dolls with velvet dresses and rabbit fur but i havent been able to find an exacttwin or a manufacturer. Her clothes and fur are in quite good condition making me think shes not that old altho some sites list these as vintage
