ive heard about how little girls will plan their future weddings when they’re like 4, and then keep that plan with them forever until they actually have it, but i didn’t do that when i was little. i don’t remember back then too well, so i might’ve briefly thought of it, but nothing real like that. i don’t really remember thinking about getting married often, it was just a thing that i knew id do some day (girlhood i guess), and i remember being upset that i couldn’t marry my dad like a lot of little girls haha.

i don’t know if i’ll ever get married. i used to think i didn’t want to. but it actually sounds lovely now. but i don’t really think ill find someone to wed me at any point, especially since i plan to live and die a virgin (i don’t mean ill die young btw, i mean i just never want to have sex.)

but now, as a teenager (i purposely don’t say my literal age here for fear of being looked down on), despite the fact that i’ll likely end up alone, i can’t help but think of what wedding id want.

i never knew people had them in winter; not that im an idiot (at least i don’t think i am), i just never thought about it that much, and i never saw any one have them then. but i’ve just thought of it and it’s definitely a thing. it sounds so lovely to me. but even if i do get engaged and married to someone, i probably wouldn’t do that, because my mom hates being cold, hate hate hates it, hates winter, hates snow, etc. below 70°F is cold to her (we’re obviously arizonan, yes. i was born on the east coast and lived there till 3, so i guess i didn’t get that, because i love 60-69°F weather, and below is okay to me too, snow is really nice to me.) and i wouldn’t want an inside wedding. and even with how much my mom makes me upset and how mean she can be, i still love her and she’s still a decent mom, and i’d still want her there. plus, she’d be a bit old by then (im the last of many siblings, she had me at 34.) i wouldn’t want to deep freeze my old mom, haha.

maybe i’d have it in fall. i do like fall. but here in az, we don’t really have fall. mostly it’s just winter and summer. it’s super hot, then slightly less hot, then super short window of our version of fall, then our version of cold. so we do i guess. but it’s very brief and hard to pinpoint. so if i had a fall wedding, it couldn’t be here. but i don’t like spring or summer here really. i mean, early spring is nice, but spring here is also very brief. it’s not nice to me here for very long, usually a week or two. that’s hard to pinpoint as well. summer is terrible to me. i dunno.

i guess it’s good that i’ll never actually have to deal with this. but i hope i will haha. i guess my spouse will have a say. i hope they don’t say summer. but what other option is there here than winter i guess. i dunno. an indoor wedding isn’t terrible i guess. un ideal, but i would enjoy it still i’m sure. it’s probably the smartest option anyway.

i also plan to have my dad there, i don’t know what seasons he likes (we haven’t lived together in a while for some complicated reasons, we did the last few months but yk, i guess i just haven’t seen that specifically. we are not distant though lol even if it seems that way.) i know he doesn’t like the heat. i’ll ask.

i guess what matters at a wedding is the couple anyway, but i want my guests to have a great time too.

sorry for rambling here haha, i can’t call aster right now, who would usually hear this lol. 5 more days of this, i think. she might read this though. if you are reading this, this is why i asked your favorite season lol. if i get to get married, i want you to be my maid of honor!!!!

EDIT/UPDATE: so my dad’s favorite is spring, his least favorite season now is summer because he works outside a lot (he’s building me and my mom a house and stuff) so he gets super hot and it’s terrible, but it used to be winter because he hates being cold too, so i really couldn’t have an outdoor winter wedding.
