Pardon the messy backdrop, I'll do a proper photo shoot later, but MY GOD Lucas looks incredible in a ghost dress with his hair down. I've been staring at him all day. Doesn't my baby look so good?

Lucie-Catherine and Mizuki have been friends for all of their lives, and they both love toys. Mizuki brought her plush Jiji from Kiki's Delivery Service, and Lucie-Catherine set up a little tea party of spooky critters.

Lucie-Catherine knows that there's something new about her friends now. She can tell that they have a secret of some kind, and they don't spend as much time with her as they used to. But she's glad that everyone could come tonight and be friends like they used to.

Roxie and Kennedy are enjoying talking and playing with Licorice. Everyone is happy for a long night of spooky fun!

Dolloween 2023:

The Pumpkin Spice Cafe

I have been gathering Pumpkin Spice flavored treats since September. I also made "2 Ingredient Pumpkin Spice Cake" as small cupcakes. I had several open bags of marshmallows so we picked up some Rice Krispies to make treats. We made the nut-free version and threw in some pumpkin pie spices. They were *amazing* and I will spice up my RK Treats in the future!

Put out my mushroom mugs and the new Fox mug for my guests.

1/6 (and smaller) Doll scale pumpkin Cafe! Midori volunteered to be the barista.

1/4 Doll scale Pumpkin Cafes! Helen took a shift as the Barista, serving a few guest dolls.

We had a lovely time and feasted well.

Last year I went on a hunt for 17-18" skeletons for my Doll-O-Ween party. I found some very good articulated ones at Big Lots that were dressed as various characters. I removed the nurse costume from one of them and posed it as my piano player.

This year I checked out Big Lots again and found this guy.

He's ball-jointed.

He's almost as posable as one of my BJDs!!

He's fantastic! I took the screws out of the back of his head and took the head apart to remove his hanging loop. The head is set on a ball joint as well! (I neglected to take any pics.)

I'm not packing this one up after Halloween. Billy here is going to join the dolls. I'm tempted to pick up a couple more, too.

Dolloween pics!

Food in the kitchen. I left the bistro table open for things my guests brought to share. Later, we had a big veggie tray, chocolate mousse pumpkins, and pumpkin spice madalines.

The savory and the sweet! I do enjoy the challenge of putting out a buffet for a variety of dietary needs and restrictions! We had someone who came out despite being on only clear liquids, so I made Jell-O. Other food restrictions included a carb-free person, someone unable to eat nightshades, lactose intolerance, peanut allergy/smell issues, chocolate issues, etc.

So, while not everyone could eat everything, everyone had something they could enjoy.

Including these gorgeous darlings.

Turns out that when you make 2-ingredient Pumpkin Spice Cakes with a fresh can of pumpkin, they're even better.

Add a little cream cheese frosting and they're spectacular.

My carb-free person chose to indulge in a small, unfrosted piece and it turned her world sideways.

I'm planning to make the for Thanksgiving, too.

I mulled some cider (with optional caramel sauce) and had hot chai. I have a million teas, so I was able to let people steep their own, with three milk options. (Cow, Oat, Almond.) I also had a cooler full of festive offerings: Fitz's Pumpkin Pop, Aldi Spiced Apple Cider, a pumpkin Ale or two, some shandies, and bubble water.

I intended to have a Doll Spa Day, but very little spa time was had.

But Spool got to repurpose a cotton swab as a microphone to sing along with Bones, RN.
