For Bettas: do snails count as fish? They can at least hide in their shells if the fish attack, but they’re very non-aggressive and all four of my Bettas don’t mind having a snail companion.

A lot of snails seem to do fine with bettas. :) I just always forget to mention them because I’m not a fan of them myself, haha.
