They deleted this for no reason. So I'm putting it back. @support @staff
DEAR TUMBLR
Censorship solves nothing. This is worse than the demonitization on YouTube. Why? Because your bots are acting like characters in Shimoneta. That anime literally shows you why the new guidelines suck. Most likely people can't even type the word 'suck' without a bot trying to ban them for using that word. How can you not see this being a problem?? And the fact that you guys won't allow people to even contact you proves your cowardness to compromise. At least allow the freedom of choice: have people say it's adult content or not. Then everything will be fine... but nooooo... you guys just loooove to deny these people their livelihood. How are you better than the FCC and/or Article 13?
EDIT: I still stand by what I wrote, but... I gotta add on this: CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IS BAD! BEASTIALITY IS BAD!!! YOU GUYS ARE THE REASON WHY THIS SITE IS DOING THIS! WHY ARE YOU UPLOADING IT WHEN IT'S ILLEGAL YOU SICKOS!!! *ahem* thank you for my PSA.
STOP CENSORING TAGS
this is a reminder to everyone that censoring tags means that someone who doesn't want to see it can't block the tags because are so many variations of the censor.
If I don't want to see something related to death for example I would block #death
But if someone censors it like #de4th then it won't filter out and I'll still see it
You won't be banned for uncensored words on this app so protect people and
DONT CENSOR TAGS
Slither
I struggle with finding the right amount of myself to let slither out of my lips when I speak. People don’t actually want to know how you are doing or what your opinion is. People want you to tell them what they want to hear or just get the pleasantries out of the way. So I either go through my day oversharing and then people think I’m damaged and neurotic or I say so little that they think that I am a reclusive asshole. I can’t censor myself. Maybe it is not so much that I can’t but that I just don’t want to. I don’t intend to make people uncomfortable, not usually, but why should I quash myself down to avoid a little discomfort for another person? (A smidgen really.) Why do we have to avoid the real things in life and the ugly things? All of the things which cause us to grow and evolve into the next level of self-awareness. Repressing all of that stuff is cancerous to the emotional well-being of a person. and really to top it all off there is something quite attractive about a person being unapologetically themselves. being real. being brave.
The worst thing you can do is censor yourself as the pencil hits the paper. You must not edit until you get it all on paper. If you can put everything down, stream-of-consciousness, you'll do yourself a service.”
Stephen Sondheim
This was too easy I'm sorry
