It's crazy that 90% of the new Zootopia movie is just Judy running into danger and Nick frantically chasing after her, picking up things she dropped and desperately trying to prevent her from killing herself. Nick Wilde was a conman, he's not USED to being the responsible one but now that he's partners with Judy he literally has no choice because she's twice as chaotic as him with half the sense of self preservation.

They did not take the time to show us multiple sequences of Maul putting himself between Daki and danger for y'all to be out here saying he finally got what he wanted or that he made the 'Palpatine' choice here.

He is nearly always putting himself physically between threats and the rest of the party.

He has everyone, including Daki, cross on the skiff first.

He's the one who jumps in to defend Daki from a barrage of Vader pushes that would have kille dhim.

He is trying, genuinely, to get as many people out of this alive as he can.

And that's not to say he doesn't knowingly make a choice to get Daki killed. But I don't think he wanted that outcome if there was any other option. Otherwise he would've taken that option several times over the course of the show.

And, evil or not, I think it's really important and characterful that it's not until he's backed into the corner, fighting a fight he knows they can't win, that he makes that choice.

Nothing is a bigger reminder that Stranger Things is more concerned with 80s aesthetics rather than being period accurate quite like getting their lesbian character to make an STD joke. Like... I'm sorry, what?

Picture it. The year is 1989. You're a lesbian. You've moved out of your small town and you've final got other queer friends. Yet, there's one big thing impacting that community, obviously it's HIV. The media is using it to demonise the community, the government isn't helping as much as it should, and if you don't know someone who's impacted by it, you know somebody, who knows somebody, who is.

And for whatever reason, you look at your friend, your best friend, who you love dearly, who, yes, is known for sleeping around, and make an STD joke about him. Around, may I add, Jonathan who both has a gay brother and is currently living in New York.

Something I haven't seen discussed yet is not only did buck and Tommy kiss, but they JUST kissed. Tommy kissed him once, just communicating that "okay is this what you want us to do?" And then he set up a real romantic date where he's going to pick buck up at 8 and everything.

Buck who has a shit load of trauma from partners wanting him for nothing more than his body. From always having to be the person adding the romance into every relationship to convince people there's more to him then sex.
