He takes the stage, flashes a three for the Third Ward, and in a loud quivering voice, begins his soliloquy. “I just got out of the hospital yesterday. I was in for 60 days with the Covid. It nearly got me.” He calls out a young man in his audience, “Where is your mask? This virus is no joke. I just say it because I love you. Do you think you’re strong? This virus will kill you! I almost died, but I was saved by Jesus. He told me he has a plan for me. He wants me to be a soldier and fight in this war against police brutality, fight against racism.
